On the lift yesterday so I thought some pics would be in order. FYI's:
* There is no skid plate under the transmission and it has a composite/plastic oil pan (10 spd. auto). I’m sure someone is already making a plate for it. Pays to watch what you're high centering/straddling.!
* The rock sliders are body mounted, not frame mounted. So take it easy when bangin' them.!
* The unique electric parking brake I’m confident will work if all brake fluid is lost.
* Lots of electrical technology under here.! It’s why I cringe watching videos of unnecessary banzai mud runs.!
* I like what I see under here, pays to know the "things to know".! Check out them Bilsteins ❤️

Yeah, i always tell people there is a whole lot of plastic and electrical stuff under there. You can Sasquatch any bronco but full body bash plates are only on black diamond, badlands and optional on wildtrak. Even with the factory package you need to consider some additional plates depending on what you plan to do with your rig.

Do you think the aftermarket will have aluminum pans for the trans and the oil available soon ?

I might start to look at the idea of fabricating my own. once I get the badlands and compare the 2.3 manual and 2.7 auto.

Think that electric e-brake is for the e-brake or turn assist? Are non-turn assist the same set up?

Thanks for posting - I like to get intimate with my vehicle .

That plastic trans pan should be covered with a skid plate.

Perhaps @AcesandEights is correct - electronic brake for trail turn assist. Most vehicles have gone to electric parking brake. Might have to use Forscan to retract for service.

Bilstein struts/covers look great.

Thanks again @jd-ford-hd

Sometimes too much info clutters up a post. So, when you lift the emergency handle on the dash it will energize both left and right servo's locking both rear wheels simultaneously. You will feel your foot, on the brake pedal, moving down slightly as the mechanical engagement of the caliper piston is moved by the servo. Brake fluid must flow in as the piston is being pushed out, that’s why you feel your foot move during engagement. Now, when "trail turn assist" is selected, all of this happens to one rear caliper only. The left rear caliper, IF the steering wheel is held at full left lock and steering wheel full right lock to engage the right rear caliper. When this "forced" lock of one rear wheel is obtained, it makes the opposite rear wheel, thru the action of the spider gears, spin at a speed equal to the turning radius of a much shorter wheelbase. The beauty of this electronically controlled emergency brake system allows independent control of the individual calipers.!

Look at the bright side. If you crack it , all you need is a tube of crazy glue!

The trail turn assist work independently from the parking brake. if you have a vehicle equipped with the TTA it is activated by a hero switch on the dash. When the switch is engaged, the rear tires lock and act as a pivot point. Turn hard left and hit the gas and rear drivers side locks. Turn hard right and right rear locks. The harder you turn and the more gas you give it the better it works. Very impressive. At one of our stops in Moab in a very tight space that had a fence around it, I pivoted right around another Bronco. Amazing

Thanks for the photo essay. Makes for a great preview. I can't imagine getting an opportunity to do what you did, since most dealerships frown on having customers in service areas. I'd be snapping pix like crazy! The unprotected transmission oil pan is a bit unnerving, especially for an off-road vehicle. I guess that's why we have an aftermarket. ;)
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

When I looked at my dealers demo I climbed underneath. Right out in front of the showroom.
