Got a tiny paint chip on the back swing gate (is that what it's called?).
I am looking at a product like this:
https://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-mo...01201852180&utm_content=All Products#222=5990

Unless y'all have a recommended product for this sort of thing?

Secondly, my rims have these silver bead lock collars. I'm wondering if there's a black replacement, or if these unscrew and I can just spray paint them with something, or if they're fake and I should just get some Everglades rims like everyone else! 😆

Thanks again y'all!
Please let me know if it would be better for the organization of the forum for me to split a thread like this into two individual questions. I'm cool either way.

There are lots of threads on here about beadlocks, options, powder-coating, etc…. Local laws have lots to say about beadlocks on paved roads…. Do your research before going full beadlock…. As I understand it they are not meant for constant on-pavement use (but I am NOT an expert)…

I'm not on top of the food chain to answer questions on here.

But to answer the second question, you can remove the "Beadlock Ring" and have it conventionally painted, or powder coated.

Warning: People have reported stripping the threads on the bolts out while removing the bolts. Just take your time.

Thanks y'all I'm actually face palming myself for posting before using the search feature. Apologies - I'm better than that!

@Mikes2021Bronco thank you for the advice on the bolts; I'll be careful for sure.

Sorry for brevity. Answering quickly between meetings.

(1) Most states have laws against true Bead Locks on paved roads.
(2) You don't want true Bead Locks on paved roads anyway.
(3) The OEM "Bead Locks" are not true Bead Locks.

If you're really interested, you can search the other threads, but I also really recommend the Method Bead Grip technology. It provides the necessary bead "locking" for airing down, but unlike a true Bead Lock is both street legal and can be driven on paved roads (when aired up obviously).

Plus, they come in some nice colors if you are playing around with your accent colors or interested in doing so.

For the paint chip, you can simply go to your dealer's parts counter. If you provide them your VIN, they can order you a touch-up paint pen that matches the factory color. Costs around $20.

@Mikes2021Bronco is correct regarding the rings. Those rings are just trim pieces, they provide no real functional value. So you can do whatever you want to them—sand blast, spray paint, powder coat, whatever. If you want actual functional bead lock rings those are available from Ford Performance.

if you want a wheel that looks like the Everglades the Warn Jackhammers are a good looking wheel. and cost you a fair bit cheaper than the Everglades wheel.
