Two common Bronco warranty issues: Windows and backup cameras

Hi all. I have a 2022 OBX. The windows often do not seal correctly after a cold start leaving a slight opening along the top. The backup camera also doesn’t function properly from time to time in that it “blacks out” one quadrant on the 360° camera view. Both, I learned are common issues with the Bronco and are covered under warranty. I took it in to the Ford dealership, and they knew exactly what I was talking about and fixed it. Plan to part with your vehicle overnight because the dealership had to order new parts (i.e., side view mirrors where the cameras are mounted).

Thanks for your post! Based on our experience your repair was super fast. Except for oil change/tire rotation service, our Bronco's usually at the dealership a week for any/all repair issues.

Cheers

Tangentially related, but the last two times I’ve done service on my Fords I’ve used my dealership’s mobile service, once for a full-service oil change and check-up, and once for warranty work on my Bronco…

If your dealership has this service and you’re generally pleased with your service department, I would certainly recommend giving the mobile service a try. I’m 30 minutes from my dealership in light traffic (at least an hour when things are busy) and I HATE spending the day sitting reading old magazines waiting for an oil change… The two times I’ve used the service (no additional charge over dealership pricing) it has been AMAZING.

Ford certainly has issues with service departments nationwide, but don’t imagine they are all the same, as I see all the time here in the PNW… Relationships count, and I’ve worked with the same dealership since 2004, and as a result I have amazing results ALMOST every time I have to have a vehicle in for care…

Agree that not all dealerships are Stealerships. I had great experience with the dealership in Puyallup when I lived there. Unlike the Stealerships I've been to in Alexandria on the other hand.
