Took my doors off for the first time. As soon as I put my Bronco in drive, a “transmission not in park” message popped up and kept making noise until I started to drive. Every time I would stop it would come on and keep making that loud chiming sound.

Is this normal and is there a way to stop this from happening? Is there something in Forscan to prevent this? Again, while driving I got nothing. But any time I stopped it would come on and keep making noise until I started to drive again. Very annoying.

I had mine off all weekend and didn’t have this issue. There are a couple of threads from people who are having similar issues to yours. Here is a recent one:

Mine did that the first time I took my doors off. I figured out that all passengers have to have seat belts buckled before starting. Then it quit doing it.

Hello there! I would like to look into your Bronco's transmission concerns on my end. To get started, could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer?
