Transmission/Transfer case temp monitoring?

Does anyone watch or monitor the temps in their transmissions or transfer cases? With lots of slow trail running, is there a need to?

If so, how do you do that? Is it in the menus some place? Is there a good 3rd party tool/set up for this?

Transmission temp is in the off road menu.

I only did after I replaced my pan with a metal one. My plastic one took a branch on a trail and ruptured. I watched it for a few days to make sure all was well with the new one.

Only in the winter up here. Driving in snow will heat it up.
