I have a 2022 Badlands that I recently flat towed from Texas to Colorado. This was the 6th time had had flat towed with not issue. After taking it out of flat tow it would not shift correctly. I had it towed to the local Ford dealer in Colorado. Ford then transported from Colorado to Texas due to there was no dealer that was able to work on it for 5-6 weeks.

Our local dealer took the transmission apart and sent pictures to Ford. Ford is saying based on the damage they see through the pictures that it was not put in flat tow correctly which caused the damage and will not cover under warranty. I have 22K miles.

As stated this was like the 6th time I had flat towed and have done the process the same each time following what was in the manual.

I have seen multiple post on this same issue and looking for any recommendations.

Thanks

Not trying to be a SA, but this is why I trailer. I read the manual before, spoke to my dealer and they recommended to trailer. Hope Ford changes their mind. What about the Ford folks on here, can you help?????????

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I may have to consider trailering once repaired.

What I would like to know if there is data stored in the Bronco that would indicate that I did put the vehicle in flat tow. Is that data available and I should request from the dealer or Ford. I could understand if I would just put the vehicle in neutral and started towing and not go throw the tow enable process and Ford provided that data indicating that I did not put in flat tow then that would be on me.

But that's not what happen. The dealer sent pictures and based on the damage they are saying that I did not put it into flat tow. So, if there is data available indicting what happen when it would be nice to know that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
