Just saw this on a video. What models does this come on? Is it an option on others. Saw different info on the web. I have a BL 2.7L, 10 speed NoSAS.

Trail Turn Assist comes in all the Models with Auto Trans...
Here is the short version from BN....

According to The Bronco Nation, the Trail Turn Assist feature will only be available on automatic-equipped Broncos. So that's another feature manual buyers are missing out on besides the Sasquatch package. But it will be available on both engine options.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

BTW, I tried this feature out while at Bronco Off Rodeo, and it's pretty cool. We had a couple of tight, more than 90 degree turns and it really helped out.

Yep us MT folks miss out. But hopefully someone can figure out the programming and I can add it to mine. If not I will just hit the p- brake and drag the ass end around.

I ordered a 2dr manual and I imagine it's turning radius is sufficiently tight. So, as Peter Gibbons would say, "I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob."
On Order, 11/15/21: MY22 Badlands 2-dr, Carb Gray, 2.3L, 7spd, SAS, Lux Reorder, 9/23/22: MY23, dropped tow.

I think manually sliding will be the only option. I cannot conceive of being able to program something to do this with the manual set up. I do wonder if it is something that will cause problems long term. It definitely makes a lot of noise that you would not prefer to hear coming from your vehicle otherwise.

Yeah, you definitely want to use this under the "right" conditions. You don't want to try this where you have any kind of grip, that's for sure!

Well..in the 70's may Dad and I built dunebuggies from older VW bug models. We cut 15' from the floor pan, welded them together. They didn't look like much, but we had fun. We took the emergency brake handle, split it down the middle, tacked it to a metal handle so you could lock up each rear wheel independently. We could turn those buggies on a dime, and at very fast speeds. Running trails in the woods you could help steer turns, etc. To bad Ford didn't call me I could have given them my idea. Think of all the money they could have saved in research. I would have taken a free Bronco in exchange.:unsure:Dave's Buggy Apr 1972 Silver Lake Dunes.jpg

Yep just like our tractors brakes.
The turn assist simply locks one tire using the electric parking brake. And yes you do not want to use the trail turn on pavement or any surface with traction.

Yep, “steering brakes“ have been around forever and used by most professional crawlers/buggies...

So once you push the button does the wheel that locks happen based on the direction you turn? Does the lock/switch turn off once you come out of the turn? I haven't started my research, figured folks on here would know. I guess this site is some of my research.

How it works! after pushing the Trail Turn Assist button, it will stay on and when you make a turn the inside wheel starts breaking, and a full turn will basically "break lock" the inside wheel, when you resume back to a forward straight movement, it will keep you in that mode until you turn it off.. However if you have the locking front differential it will help turn you in a tighter radius.
