Trade In Value

Has anyone heard about any incentives from @Ford Motor Company regarding the fact that my current car was a year and a half younger and approximately 20,000 miles less when this whole "adventure" started? I posted my 2011 Ford Escape for sale when I saw that my car is In Production. Aaaaand now I'll be waiting until May? All the while my mileage continues to go up. And what about the fact that I got pre-qualified for my loan when it went into production. And now I will need to do that process again. Does @Ford even care?? I'm not one to complain, truly, but damn. It's all just so disappointing...

I don’t think it is that Ford doesn’t care as much as it is that there is nothing they can do about all the hold ups. It sucks for all of us our trade in is over 200k and starting to need work to keep her going. And as things are going interest rates are going to go up and the value of our trades will go down.

Yup! I'm just wondering if they might offer some incentives to us. I know there were some articles in circulation to offer us some nice champagne or scotch upon picking up our Broncos, but when I'm losing value on my current car, I'd prefer cold hard cash! Ha! We have someone coming to look at my car tomorrow and we would become a 1 car household with two small children and two full time working adults. Part of me wants to keep it so that we have the ease of two cars but if the offer is right, I'll have to just grin and bear it until the chips are in!

Of course they are not going to do that. Ford is a corporation. Their stockholders and executives would get less money.

However, please know people are out here who do care and have tons of empathy for those who got screwed with their trade-ins.

This whole thing has to collapse at some point. I agreed to pay MSRP for the first time in my life because my trade is currently worth more that it would be worth in a "normal" market. So, it's a wash for me. And I'm sure others even agreed to pay over MSRP because of their trade value. But what happens if the auto market dips and trade values drop significantly? Will people still be willing to pay those premiums? And will you still want your 17mpg Bronco when premium gas sells for $5+? a gallon. We shall see.

One of many things I have learned in life. Don't count on or buy anything until the money is in the bank and the check has cleared.

well this how is see it. yes there are people including myself, that plan their future the best they can which would include the purchase of a vehicle, not a candy bar. therefore when you receive a confirmation date you expect that to be fulfilled. so i have all cash and loan $'s in hand waiting for the day. but yet ford has not planned for the future with all that is happening. it is a difficult time for all that are involved due to the pandemic. but yes i do agree that ford is looking to make profits, but also all who reserved a bronco are also looking to save $ on interest $ , trade-ins and future expense of vehicles we planned on selling for the long road of the BRONCO we all are waiting on.
i would have no problem with the wait, if FORD said they match my rates at the time of my orig build date and loan approval rate and terms, I'D BE FINE. but i'm sure that will not happen ??
now i'm affraid i'll have to buy a car before the bronco gets built, i refuse to put additional $ into my daily driver.
this ride with FORD has been over the top. lots of excitement, learning and of course lots of disappointments.
i hate to say this because i have not seen a vehicle i was so excited about for over 15 yrs(yes i still have it).
loosing steam, enthusiasm not to mention patience.
not matter what discission i come up with,
Thanks Bronco Nation for all i have learned from you and all the fellow enthusiasts.

I traded in my '19 Escape Titanium... In the spring of 2021, they were willing to give me $18.5k
Whwn my Bronco arrived in December, we negotiated $25k for the trade.

I was worried about trade in value as well. Around May/June last year I had a feeling that it may be a while before I got my new ride so I started saving extra for the down payment. I’ve managed to save almost as much as my trade in would be so now I’m going to keep my current vehicle as a daily until my daughter is old enough to have it. I won’t say that it worked out better for me this way but I’m happy that I made the best out of the situation.

"Ford offer some incentives" not going to happen!
No different than saying Ford should offer incentives for when the Fed boost interest rates in July by 1% even though most of us should already have our Broncos by now, and at the current rate. The Liquor you talk of, or the up to $1,000 in booze and accessories or Swag per reservation holders that have been waiting a long time, well I think Dealerships had a massive party and kept it all for themselves. The ole' "my dealer said" that I would be getting something nice in October, well that never happened.
Don't mean to be bitter here, but I have excepted that there will be nothing coming our way but our Broncos someday.
I just want to say however, Congrats on at least being a lot closer than a lot of us on getting this fantastic vehicle. (y)

Folks, what we have here is a supply and demand case study. Through in some international supply chain issues and you've got a compound effect.

I didn't order a bronco, I got a little lucky. Dealer knew I wanted one, an ordered bronco arrived and buyer declined it. Dealer called me and I had about 15 min to make a decision. AND I paid a $15k markup! I gotta admit, that stung a little. I've bought 7 trucks from same dealer in the last 3 years and they basically said, " the market dictates the addendum." I own a business, they're correct and not much of an argument from me.

But, the other side of things, they gave me $54k for a 2019 f350 with 97k miles. I paid $72. That made up for the addendum.

And....it's very difficult for the dealers right now, if they don't have inventory they can't stay in business. Trade in $ are crazy. I bought a 2020 raptor from them, They offered to straight buy it for more than I paid even after taking the millage to 40k.

Times are strange.
