I've been Flat Towing my Badlands 2dr Sasquatch, for well over a year and many many miles.
Just starting this week, and I think after an update. When putting it in Tow mode and I lift my foot off the brake I get Brake system errors.
and it disables the collision advoidance. I have never seen these errors in all the times i've taken it in and out of tow mode. With this error it seems to pump up the brakes making them harder to push and also if you forget to take the parking brake off it will not let you.
I also got it in a state where I could not get it out of tow mode and it is was stuck in park but it would still roll when trying to get it out of tow mode. Anyway, Im wondering is anyone out there can put their recently updated 2dr in and out of tow mode to see if they have the same issue.
the procedure is.
Foot off the brake hit start,
Foot on the brake hit 2h on the dial and then put it in neutral
Keeping foot on the Brake.
got Back to the Main Menu , down to settings then down to Tow mode.
hold ok until it engages.

Let me know if at this point you get any errors, When you let your foot off the brake.
and that you can enable and disable your parking brake.

It should say Tow Mode is enabled and keep it in Neutral.

so on the 2dr all you do to get it out of tow mode if you shut it off , is to push start without holding the brake,
hold the brake and put it in park, it should then disable tow mode.
the 4dr procedure is differnt so i would have to look that up. I just know when i followed the 4 dr procedure here its wrong for the 2dr.

after seeing this , I thought maybe they pushed an update that broke it.

So just to follow up on this, since this software change, running my Rvi brake system on vacuum settings I would get random full break lock ups. Usually at slow speeds and slightly faster braking than normal. Well thank you again ford for letting us know that there is another issue, the aanti Lock brakes need re programed. This is a huge safety issue and needs to have all owners notified.. All along I was thinking it was something wrong with my Rvi..

SSM 51415 2021-2023 Bronco - Neutral (4-Wheel Flat) Towing - Inconsistent Brake Feel Through The Supplemental Brake System

Customers who neutral (4-wheel flat) tow a 2021-2022 Bronco equipped with a 2.7L engine or a 2022-2023 Bronco Raptor may report an inconsistent brake assist when a supplemental braking system has been installed. This may result from supplemental brake system set-up that does not account for the vehicles anti-lock brake (ABS) module entering sleep mode after a pre-determined period of time following vehicle shut-down. This functionality was necessary to prevent a battery drain from occurring. Enhanced software has been developed to keep the ABS module in a consistent sleep state when the vehicle enters neutral tow mode. For vehicles that meet this criterion, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use casual part 2C219.
