I love bronco folks. They are some of the greatest people to share a common interests with...usually, most are as interested in our vehicles as I am. BUT, there is one thing I see here often that drives me crazy (it's a short trip too!)...people calling the bronco a "car". Let's discuss this ever impeding cataclysmic burning question!

Ha! Coming from years of calling Jeeps "vehicles" or simply "Jeeps," I feel you. I stick to "vehicle" or "Bronco" now. Whatever happened to SUV, though? Because if it's not a "car," it's a "truck." And I hope we all take this in good fun, because one of the only reason we refuse to call it a car (besides that it's not) is pride, right? 😛

I like trucks. Cars not so much. I don't dislike cars I just find them limiting. As well, I find fast cars boring. I don't get the sensation of speed I get on a bike. This is just me. I know many like cars and many like cars with batteries and such. People even like trucks with batteries. That is all OK.

For me, give me a truck any day. I like sitting up high. I like the space. I like the utility. I like load E tires on F250's and it just feels normal. As well, our lifestyle suits trucks.

I had a new Camaro SS in 2010 and we lived up a long dirt road. So I babied it up the road and one way in was really steep. After watching Smokey and the Bandit (not a great re watch) one night the next day I was sliding around and just a driving. I guess I figured I was Burt Reynolds. I had the CAR for six months so I passed my personal threshold for caring about every rock chip. It took a movie to come to my senses. I must say I enjoyed the car more.

Give me a truck, a coffee and a road and I am happy!

I guess I don't see the big deal. It fits the dictionary definition of a car.

A car is a horse less carriage. There's clearly horses all over it. Lol.

I recently experienced the only thing worse than calling my Bronco (truck) a car. We hosted my wife's family for a Memorial Day shindig and my high school niece told me she liked my "Jeep" and her mom (who should know better) later told me she liked my "Hummer"! I immediately made them leave the house! 😉 😂

I often call it a 'truck' - every now and then I'll refer to it as 'the bronco', but never a 'car' though. I know some people get wound up over calling it a 'truck' and not an 'suv', but 'suv' doesn't roll off the tongue as well... and as far as I'm concerned, it is a truck.

I love having the Sports come out on my trail drives!! The owners are just as excited to be out there on the trails as the rest of us are, and they take pride in their vehicles too :)

Yes! What if Raptor owners all banded together and told any other Bronco trim they didn't have enough vehicle? People wouldn't feel good. This is a community of love and happiness ☺ 😁

I just call it a bronco. Don't really call it a truck since when you say "truck" you are not thinking of a bronco. Other than that I sometimes call it "rig". Now if you have a sport then calling it a car makes more sense
