Was speaking with my dealer yesterday. When I asked him about OBX, he said the majority of his female customers are choosing that trim. He and his dealership buddies are now referring to OBX as the Barbie Bronco (think Barbie Jeep).

Anyone else heard of this trend? Pretty funny! I'm ordering Badlands.

I have a Squatched Badlands on order as well but, my 19 YO would love a Barbie Bronco. In fact, she sent me this a couple of weeks ago...

Maybe Ford will come out with a new color for her. What would it be called? (This should get some laughs)

They should just do a collaboration with Matel and make Barbie OBX Broncos and Ken Kung Fu Grip Broncos. Pink & Camo respectively.

I'm ordering an OBX but it definitely won't be no Barbie Bronco. It won't have the sasquatch package but I definitely opted for the 2.7L and 4.27 w/locker rear end. I may not ever take it rock crawling but it won't be a mall crawler either.

For me, I had to compromise a bit with my wife as we share our vehicles. I compromised so that she could have comfort with a bit of luxury, she compromised so that I can make it off-road capable. I could have lived with a BD with manual MGV seats but she wanted leather, heated and power seats. The Badlands with all of that landed us outside of our price range so the OBX with certain upgrades became our choice.

The good news is that the aftermarket is already starting to look very friendly. The way the truck is delivered from the dealership definitely won't be it's final form.

I’m not gonna lie. I’d proudly drive a pink Bronco badlands or Sasquatch. As long as it is not peptobismol pink.

I believe the OBX is a model that was directed to complete with Wrangler Sahara model. My buddy has one. Probably offering the smoothest ride and lower stance might appeal more to ladies but I do see alot of guys driving them also. Really digging on the Fishing Bronco, my dad would of loved that one.
