Nice to see the Everglades getting some love. I think they did buy the last Everglades on a lot. I looked and can only find about 10 used ones and no new ones. But there is a DS Everglades in Hawaii.

WTF????? Seriously???? Obviously there are different people rating these trails for ONX depending on where you are located. A SEVEN?????? A 5 where I am at seems way harder than that. Narrow??? That was freeway width!!!

Look that appears to be a nice run. A few challenges and they did seem to side step some obstacles..... Maybe that is a seven in the snow???

My title is wrong.. The trail is a 5, not a 7.. Big fingers, me not checking before I posted ect.. I have no way to fix the title, maybe a moderator can fix it?

They honestly didn't show much of the trail, I was hoping to see more. They spent most of the video showing the inside the Bronco and shots of themselves driving..

I've never driven the trail but here is the onX trail rating and it has numerous 'trail reports' going back over 2 years. I didn't see anyone in those trail reports dispute the 5 rating.:

https://webmap.onxmaps.com/offroad/...rview?id=f4e41733-0bbd-5491-9570-51f13cc12230

Also, onX trail ratings are based on the most difficult part of the trail. That 5 rating might be based a 1/2 mile stretch, or even on a single obstacle. The rest of the trail could be very easy but a small stretch, or a single obstacle, could make it a 5 rating - if that makes sense..

I've had people leave trail reports on a few of mine where they will say something like "the trail is not a 4, it's a 3. There was one small section or obstacle that's a 4 but, but, but..."

Yeah ---> that one small section, or obstacle, makes the entire trail a 4... Well, that's at least how onX does it / wants trail guides to rate it..

I thought they called it a 7 in the video.... Maybe I just imagined it. I also understand how different people will rate things a little different... That is all fair. I give ONX props for having check sheets to rate a trail., they are trying hard to take as much subjectivity out of the evaluation as humanly possible. Still going to be some subjectivity to it. Like differences in Judges score cards for a Boxing match. They are all pros but each sees it a little different. There is also significant differences based on weather. Snow, early spring run offs, rain, etc. can change a run drastically. I just found it funny how they kept talking how narrow it was but I literally saw nothing that said narrow trail to me. That seemed rather wide. BUT that is all relative to what my experiences have been, and you are right, what they actually showed. It is just if you are going to talk about it being narrow you would think you would show some of the narrow.

I also understand how one obstacle can change the rating drastically and it did look like they "bypassed" a couple. But now knowing it is a "5".... That makes more sense to me.

They might have.. Maybe that's why I listed it as 7 mistakenly. I dunno but the trail is a 5..

There is also significant differences based on weather. Snow, early spring run offs, rain, etc. can change a run drastically.

When I rate mine, I try to take seasonal weather conditions out of the rating.. I'll mention them in the trail description. Something like: 'in winter months durning heavy snowfall, the trail may be impassable at higher elevations'. Or, 'extreme muddy conditions may exist after heavy rainfall' etc

I also understand how one obstacle can change the rating drastically and it did look like they "bypassed" a couple.

For onX ratings, obstacles should only be factored in to the rating if there is NO bypass available. If there is a bypass available then it should not be factored into the rating. The bypass, or lack thereof, can and should be noted in the trails description.
