Tailgate Tent for Bronco Soft Top 4dr

Has anyone bought a tailgate tent for their Bronco Soft Top? We plan on going camping and have been looking at the Ford Napier Tent but the reviews are so, so seems to leak. We found this tent, our intent is to sleep in the Bronco and put our gear in the tent. Has anyone bought this tent?

I have used my Ford Napier Tent on my soft top 4door on 3 trips since I've had it. I didn't have any issues on my trips and it rained hard a couple nights without leaking at all. My main complaint with it is the awning anchor cords were annoying to get tight.

Can you leave the tent up and drive your truck away?

Yes, you can connect and disconnect from your truck anytime and drive away. The tent can be used solely on its own or you can connect it to the truck. The tent has a removable section that works like an adapter to the back of the truck to a designated doorway of the tent. It's attached via Heavy Duty zippers, nylon strapping with buckles and bungie type straps to help anchor around the wheel well to aid in sealing the cover. On my soft top I ran the 2 top straps all the way to the 2 hood anchor points.

We have been looking and we really like this one, but the reviews made us think twice. Perhaps they weren't attaching right.

Glad to help. Sharing info can help make things go smoother. Hopefully your experience with it is as good as mine has been. I wish someone would had told be about the seats not being flat when laid down. That would have made my fist camping trip in my bronco much better.

I heard that, we are looking for a mattress and we are making sure it is specifically for a Bronco.
