Cool video. However, IMO I would have waited until you got it back from the shop to post the video so you could follow up at the end with "confirmed" or "not confirmed" on cause of death wobble.

I figured the death wobble was from mud sticking in the inner wheel causing an imbalance.

UPDATE - We ended up removing the half shaft. Obviously IFS on the new Bronco is different from the solid axles setups seen on classic Broncos, so today, I got schooled by Morgan on how to deal with an IFS axle setup. It seems complicated at first but it's a surprisingly easy removal.

Good luck with finding a new CV . I waited 7 weeks to get one for my 2020 Ranger back in Sept/Oct due to being on national backorder . It was $400 also :(

30 years ago I was that way. Back then most of the breakages were U-joints. Today I realize what it costs to play like that.

Awesome stuff @mitchcreel thanks for sharing!!

When I was 22, we didn’t have the internet & YouTube to refer to, it was all trial & error. And parts weren’t delivered next day. Wrenching today is easier with all the available online resource and content so thanks for your contributions.

Here’s my JKU after my last mud trip when I cooked my power steering pump. Thanks to online forums, YouTube & next day parts delivery, I swapped out my unit & got my Jeep good as new in a couple of hours!

He broke his Bronco. Testing limits is what it's about, right? The video was fun. That was one muddy truck.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

I took it mudding a couple days before to test the limit for 8 hours and brought it home safely. That video is going to be super epic!
