My spare was recently stolen and I mostly just want to vent…But am also looking for suggestions on wheel lock options and maybe seeing if anyone happens to have a spare Heritage wheel laying around anywhere. I’m sure anything I find on eBay or Facebook marketplace or Craigslist is either mine or stolen from someone else. Why do people do this?!

I got these. They seemed to be the most theft-proof out there:

It depends on his/her deductible. There are two types of claims; collision and non-collision. Many people carry a $1K deductible, however most don't know that carrying a $100 deductible on non-collision doesn't add that much to your insurance policy. Assuming to replace the spare with a factory tire & wheel, that's likely to cost $500 or more, with the $100 deductible, this alone would cover the cost of the lowered deductible

Not to mention claim points that insurers track amongst themselves.

" Insurance points are used by auto insurance companies to evaluate your driving behavior and risk level, impacting your insurance rates. Insurance claim points can increase your auto insurance premiums because insurers view a history of claims as an indicator of higher risk. The more points you accumulate from claims or traffic violations, the more likely your rates will rise." Look it up (claims points)...
