My spare was recently stolen and I mostly just want to vent…But am also looking for suggestions on wheel lock options and maybe seeing if anyone happens to have a spare Heritage wheel laying around anywhere. I’m sure anything I find on eBay or Facebook marketplace or Craigslist is either mine or stolen from someone else. Why do people do this?!

Sorry to hear about that. I use these on all 5 wheels:
They're currently $28.25 on Amazon.

Not sure that link worked. Here's the description: McGard 24537 Cone Seat Wheel Locks Chrome (M12 x 1.5 Thread Size) - Set of 5, 5 Locks / 1 Key

I purchased a second key from McGard for about $10. I keep 1 in the glove box and 1 in my tool box.

Ugh, that sucks. Maybe its time to do a spare delete. JK
I use the Ford Factory locks on mine.
plus, since I am extra paranoid, when I am out and about I try to park with the spare against a wall, guardrail, tree, another vehicle or out in the open where it would be obvious it is being stolen.

Thanks @WildTraker24 and @Jakob1972 for the recommendations! It’s my first Bronco and I’ve only had it a few months so it’s super frustrating but it’s a lesson learned. I did have it parked up against a wall but not close enough…Will definitely be hugging walls moving forward.

Yes, that would be frustrating for sure. I think this is the first time I've heard about one getting stolen but I'm sure it happens pretty often. I've been using the McGard locks on mine also.

Did you not have it locked when it was stolen?

Another Bronco in my neighborhood was hit the same time and there was another report of a Jeep in another neighborhood who got hers stolen so I guess it ebbs and flows on what is stolen and when. I just ordered the McGard! Hopefully it’ll be easy enough to put on.

No lock. I didn’t even think to check if it had one…I’m a bit naive when it comes to cars I guess. I’ve had two Wranglers before this and have lived in the same neighborhood for over 10 years and this never happened before.

Thanks! I went with the McGard that a few others recommended. Hopefully that’ll do the trick! Now to get rid of the icky feeling that you get after having something stolen from you…What can I purchase for that?!

The matter of protection against theft has been done on many threads, Bronco6g especially: notably wheel and firearm security. Do a little searching, you'll find plenty.

Remember that there is no absolute protection. Some crook, somewhere, will have the tools and expertise to rip you off. What you want to do is increase complexity (and thus time) for the thief, so he won't bother or give up and look for an easier target. After that, by parking in a conspicuous place, use of video, visibility, lighting, etc.

Also, go over things with your insurance agent, and find out what protection methods will give you a discount, whether your accessories and after-market build items are covered, etc. You're learning that this can be a pretty expensive hobby.

Not necessarily a deterrent, but maybe some peace of mind. You could get a dash cam that has a function that records when motion is detected. I have the Wolfbox 900 pro that has a sentry feature that the cameras are always recording, or they start recording when they detect movement. Not going to stop the bastards but you might get a picture of them.
