On a Cool note, You can easily up Grade your Speakers by ordering 4, 4 inch 2 way and 2, 6.5 inch 2 way for the footwell. Night and day difference. $300 total for a 100% crisper and clearer stereo. I installed the front and rear driver side and faded from passenger to driver side for a contrast of sound difference.
front windshield and rear roll bar, Kicker 47KSC404 Car Audio 4" Coaxial 300W Peak Full Range Speakers Pair KSC404.
lower front kick box. Kicker 6.5" Charcoal LED Marine Speakers 1 pair of OEM replacement speakers.

Nope, 2 left dash, center channel, 2 right dash, then 2 left and right rear and sub
the base package just has the dash and rear

Maybe the mini is different and has them

See above. But it would only make sense to not have electronics down to get wet.

The Wildtrak I drove had them down there. I'll check the MGV Bronco at my dealer tomorrow.

I have replaced the speakers in every ford I have ever owned with the exception of the wife's Lincoln. Not sure why Ford sources such crappy paper cone speakers for everything. Seriously they are like $15 bucks in the parts catalog. Nice to see the wiring diagrams and some of the early builds. At this rate, I will have a long weekend of upgrades lined up whenever in 22 the truck actually shows up.

You answered your own question - they're cheap, and get the job done - and they're good enough for probably 98% of the car buyers.

Focal are great! The main thing is to stay with the same brand and even same series within a brand. Especially to keep the tweeters the same so you don’t get any sound cancelation going on. At least that’s my 2 cents.

Do you need a speaker adaptor ring for the 6.5 inch? if so, can you provide the link?

That is only for the B&O system. Most of us don't have that.

Having a 40+ year career in sound engineering I can tell you that you are correct. As the left and right channels each represent half a sound field the speakers must be matched for timbre. From=nt and back are just a stereo pair so should also be the same as the other pair.

Do the Focals fit the dash? Crutchfields does not list as compatible, maybe too deep?
