I installed 37" tires with 0 offset wheels and find that the spare tire hangs away from rear an extra 2" or so, which ,if I thought about it should have been obvious. My question is is their a aftermarket spare tire carrier that fits the OEM mounting but is either ajustable or just shorter. I put the reinforcement brackets but I don't like the additional leverage on rear due to the increased distance.

I don't know if anyone makes that but I'd suggest getting a tailgate support. That's a lot of extra weight the tailgate might not hold.
In the old days when theses things were metal we would just chop out a section and rewelded it...but really ya don’t ”need” a 37” spare...just throw the stock one back on.

I thought about it but decided not to and sold old tires and wheels
We use the 4WP spare tire carrier for our 37s. No tailgate issues after a year of use and 3500 miles. No tailgate brace either but if we do any heavy offroading the spare is either coming off or going in the cargo area. *The 37 sits snug on the rubber bumper located on bottom
