I just received my 2021 Bronco Big Bend soft top and it is extremely loud inside.
From inside my Bronco I can push my fingers between the top and door seal and I believe that is causing all the rode noise.
It sounds like my window is open. I had a Jeep before this and the soft top was much quieter.
I returned it to the dealer service department and they said it was a design flaw.
Very unhappy with this new Bronco.
Please let me know if your soft top is loud.
Thank you

Have zero issues with my soft top and I don't really think it's that loud. Best decision I made was switching from the crappy hard top to a soft top. I can easily take my top down way faster and I like how it looks. Doesn't leak and even in the cold I have no problem with keeping the inside warm.

Soft top is louder than a hard top for sure. More so hear the 18 wheelers going by.

But sounds like OP has an install with a bad seal and that is a problem. I haven't tried to push my fingers between window and top, but the only design flaw I know of with the windows is that crazy ass rattle when you lower the window about an inch.

I'd suggest you reach out to @Ford Motor Company and see if they will get involved since it sounds like your dealer is just writing this off.

I haven't had any issues as well with my soft top and actually love it! Have done one long road trip to moab and back without any problems. It certainly is louder than the hard top but doesn't quite seem normal what you're talking about. Perhaps Ford here on the forum can be of some help. Keep us posted on what happens. Good luck!

@Scot2030 Sounds like the top may have been closed incorrectly and it’s mot sealing all the way.

I have owned several Jeeps over the years and the Bronco soft top is no louder than other OEM soft tops.

Should be an easy fix - good luck!

My suggestion would be to fold it all the way open and then colse it again. If this doesn't fix it then remove it all together and reinstall yourself. Could be just an alignment issue when installed.

The soft top is loud, IMO anyone who says it isn't either has low expectations or is hard of hearing.

Or your over sensitive to white noise. My wife and I can carry on a conversation at normal volume and poeple say they cant hear it when on the phone. It is louder than an insulated roof but why equate it to something its not. Lets just keep the comparisons equal. Just saying its loud and insulting people is ignorance.

Sucks that the dealer service department is giving you the run around. If your dealership has a soft top mannequin I would go back and ask to take it for a drive that includes highway speeds, it it’s not as noisy as yours then take either the bronco rep or sales manager for a ride in yours and let them argue with the service department for you.

Anyone who buys a utility/off road vehicle with a removable top and expects it to be luxury car quiet inside needs a reality check IMO. Try driving an H1 if you want to hear some noise.

So I look at it like this my buddy loves the way his Ram 2500 drives but has never daily drove a Rack and Pinion. I have daily drove a rack and pinion and my Ram 2500 drove like crap to me and wandered. So what I'm saying is we all experience life differently and the soft top base sasquatch I drove I didn't think it was loud except for a whistle lol. I'm coming from a tundra with mud tires though not an s-class Mercedes.

^^ This .
Drive their demo and compare . The wife and I finally got to test drive a Bronco last week and we both said the soft top was way quieter than we expected . It was a 4dr Black Diamond SASquatch with 2.3 .

The soft top is loud, IMO anyone who says it isn't either has low expectations or is hard of hearing.

I came from driving a F-150 King Ranch and we were in my Ranger FX4 Lariat when we did the test drive . Both of those are very quiet . The wife has been in MB vehicles for decades and she did not like the look of the soft top but even she mentioned how quiet the top was for being a soft top .
Of course we try to compare apples to apples and it was like a luxury vehicle compared to this , LOL.

If you are coming from a regular car or hard top jeep is will be louder, but it's not that loud. Even people who have owned a soft top jeep has spoken about how it's was quieter

I agree. There is wind noise which I expected. If you think an open air, none fixed top is going to be quiet, you have unreasonable expectations. If you have the radio on, you barely notice the noise. If it’s off, you notice it. With that said, we expected noise when we went with the soft top. I asked my wife just yesterday, who was set on a MIC top, if you had the option to go back and get the MIC top at the same time, what would you do. Her response was, I don’t know now. The convenience of the softie is great. Yeah, there is noise, but not enough noise to deter me from enjoying my Bronco.

I was expecting it to be much worse than it is. I can hear my basic stock stereo at a 7 and have a conversation without yelling while going 70 (ok, maybe 80 or 85 sometimes). Definitely try reinstalling, I have zero water leaks (even when I didn’t latch one of the front latches when it rained) and don’t notice any spots on mine that don’t seal completely. I couldn’t be happier with the soft top and the versatility it has provided…now when we get these random 65-70 degree days in the Midwest, I can open the top at a stop light and close it as soon as I get cold. I don’t have to pull over and get any tools out, I can stand up in my seat and close it.

Didn't say I expected it to be "luxury car quiet", but it is louder than a fixed metal roof, which is what most people are likely comparing it to.

Every single person who has driven in my Bronco has commented on how loud they found it. I didn't want a soft top, so I'd have preferred just about anything else.

It doesn't bother me, I upgraded my stereo and can't hear it over the tunes :P
