So that’s what Trail Turn Assist is for…

Admittedly I’m one of those people who felt Trail Turn Assist was largely a party trick feature.

I guess I can admit that it is sometimes legitimately useful… and that I am a little jealous manual transmission doesn’t get it.

I tried that on a trail and it didn’t go that good. That was beautiful.

I did… had the same experience as @radar3d … didn’t work very well.

Tried it and slid into the side of a rock. Thankfully the rock rails were there otherwise I would have regretted not getting the insurance. Took a 20 point turn to get me out of that spot. Oops. 😵

I’m sure with a little practice I could use it correctly, but I got a manual transmission in my Bronco so I guess I’ll never get to practice. Which is fine, while it’s a super cool feature (when you use it in the right situations), it does an awesome job at tearing up the trail. So I probably would have avoided using it even if I did get the automatic.

Won’t lie though… donuts in the snow would have been awesome.

Way cool if needed. But the one pedal drive with the 2.7 is way cooler.

You don't need it to do donuts in the snow... you still have that feature!!🙂

Wait, what? There’s no “Donut Mode” amongst the G.O.A.T. Modes? 🤪
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

It doesn't work when you need your front locker on, I don't think. BBuT it did really well in an arroyo. You go with what you have when you don't get snow. Lol.

I used it to pivot around another parked Bronco while attending OffRoadeo at Moab. It worked perfectly. It was in a fenced in parking area next to one of the arches. The more gas I gave it the better it worked. I had to trust that it would work and it did. I was in the partially obscured soft top in the middle.

Dang it I forgot to try it out when I was at the beach today. But the sand was smooth damp and packed for most of the drive and I didn’t want to tear it up, and when I got to the fun stuff I just forgot to try it.

Would like to know the exact steps the person in the video used, Pedal action etc. Did he have trail assist on also for one pedal operations?

Mine works well when I need/use it. Works best when the steering wheel is fully turned.

Understand that, just wondering if he was using them together or what.

Tried mine at the beach in the summer and it just dug me in. I don’t think it’s designed for that. Luckily I got out with no problem, but if I had kept trying it, I would’ve definitely sunk in pretty deep.

in my experience it works much better when you aren't to timid with the throttle!
