Since Broncos already have cameras - shouldn't it be possible to record the video from them?

I've been considering installing a dashcam since it seems like people out there on the roads are getting even more stupid (if that's possible), but started to wonder since (most of) our Broncos already have cameras - grill, backup, even in the mirrors - is there a way to record the video from them and basically use them as dashcams? Or is the video quality not good enough? They do seem optimized for just a few feet around the vehicle.

I totally agree however, I haven’t found a viable solution so until then, I have a DashCam installed.

Here is an interesting product that I would potentially consider buying however, I don’t believe it allows recording.

Tesla's EDR records video and audio before, during, and after a crash, I wonder if the Bronco's does? Although it would only be a few seconds worth, and not easily accessible...

With all the cameras that cars have these days it baffles me why more auto makers don’t follow Teslas lead. But I guess insurance companies would rather have a “ no fault” situation in most accidents. And if they do why aren’t they pushing for this.

Excellent question! While I wait for my Bronco to be built, I spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos. Many of them feature vehicular carnage on American highways. It would be nice to be able to capture footage for playback after an accident. Even better, it could catch someone vandalizing or attempting to steal our Broncos. I was seriously considering a dash cam as well. The kind that face forward and behind, have sound capture and infrared capabilities as well.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.
