Just for fun, let's share some of our silliest mods to date. I've got a couple. My most recent was adding this "ECOBEAST" emblem to the top of my air cleaner. I'll never be accused of taking myself too seriously. 😆

How about you? What non-essential mods have you made to your Bronco? Some of the simplest mods can make us smile!

Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Thanks, Yeah it might be a little Bronco overkill so I might change it out for the Bronco Off-Roadeo pin instead I just haven’t decided if I want to change it out or not.

I consider my sequencing grill lights to be the most non-essential mod I will do to the Bronco. I hadn't seen anyone do it to the grill lights so thought why not. I actually like them but was questioning my decision the whole time I was wiring them up.

That’s awesome! It’s exactly what I was talking about when I thought of starting this thread.

We all know what an amazing and capable vehicle the Bronco is. It delivers SERIOUS off-road performance, but there’s no reason we can’t have a little light-hearted fun with it, too.

Case in point: my useless swapping of black tow hooks for red ones. They offer no measurable improvement in performance. I just liked the look of them!

I bought this brass horse to use as a hood ornament, but my wife liked it so much and was afraid it might get stolen, so she mounted it on the dash. I bought this flower pot for my wife just to be silly. It matched the Bronco, need I say more. Every time she looks at it, she laughs, mission accomplished!

The sole reason I went for the Badlands -- I wouldn't be able to take the gap ;) Your mod would make me feel better about it had I not 😂 I like it!

True confession: that cinched it for me as well. I hate dummy switches and plastic covers over what should be lights, etc. That said, at least Ford didn't put a dummy switch in place of the sway bar disconnect switch! Its absence became an opportunity to wax creative.

I'd never add this "logo" to my Badlands trim, but when I'm with people of a certain political mentality, I tease them by calling it my "Ecology Crusher." Just to get their goat. But I seriously practice tread-lightly protocols, and pic up whatever trash I find.
In Utah last year I was able to do a few miles of serious, genuine cross-country driving. Such a joy--not even old tire tracks anywhere! My first off-roading was with a geological exploration outfit, east of Tucson, in the Sonora: 1965 with the original Scouts, three sticks. Back then, we just drove over everything, and there was all sorts of crap out there: bleached out beer bottles, abandoned vehicles and parts, fire pits, disintegrating clothing, you name it. The boondocks are much cleaner now.

There are a lot of us that do volunteer on cleaning up trash because it counter balances the gas we guzzle.

I was thinking of taking a few dozen saplings with me every time I go off-road and planting them to offset my carbon footprint. 🤪

I was considering another silly mod recently: “BRONCO” letters for the dash, to fill in the debossed letters on the passenger side. Haven’t decided what color, if any, to go with. Again, these mods don’t improve performance in slightest way, but they enhance the product and help us differentiate them from one another.

We've never had kids so our carbon footprint is tiny compared to all those out there who have brought little (lovely) polluters into this world. They will probably have little (lovely) polluters themselves. I'm good with the gas I burn. We have done our part for earth conservation (I don't believe the hype anyway). Burning gas is one of the pleasures of life...(good thing I volunteer....I'm not all bad and I love family by the way, very important).

I have 2 silly ones, one is the blue aluminum covers I bought to cover up the door latches. And the second is my Tampa Bay Lightning #88 Andre Vasilevskiy doll I have mounted on my dash at the accessory BYOR at center.
