I was surfing the Interwebs and ran across a Ford production update document that shows the Bronco Job 1 starts March 22 with a 24 week lead time. That is a five and a half month lead time, so that puts Job 1 vehicles out to consumers sometime near the beginning of September?

This was an "updated" production document dated 2/8/21.

Wow, I sure hope Job # (whatever # my res converts to) has a shorter lead time than that!! Unless of course the lead time started when I placed my order, I'd be ok with mid July!

Wow they better be able to build a Bronco in less that 5.5 months I could build a Bronco by my self in that time. Heck maybe they can just sell us a kit and we can DIY it.

Hopefully that is the complete initial run for all broncos without parts availability issues.. The rest of us with the limited supply items on our builds are screwed.

I have 3 limited availability items, plus it's a base. Will not compromise on my build even if it pushes it out a couple of months...

Yikes. That's insane. I certainly hope that isn't the truth that first units will be delivered in September. Production is starting in May right?

It is based on when order is placed; however, when you gave the dealer your order information isn't when your order is placed. The orders won't actually be placed until March. Over the course of the next month or so they will be scheduled for production, and then production will begin in May (we hope). So, 24 weeks from March 22 is the lead time, the time between order (when it is actually placed in the system) and when it is received, September.

Lead time is the time from order to receipt. You don't order a vehicle and then walk around back and pick it up. They are expecting 5 - 6 months from March 22 (when your converted reservation becomes an actual order to be scheduled for production).

Do you have a copy of the document you can post? It'd be interesting to see exactly what it said.

I hesitated because I don't want the links/pages to be taken down due to excessive traffic, but I don't want people thinking I just made this up.

Here is the document most of us have seen. This is old news; although, this document was updated today:
https://www.donlen.com/buildstart-trucks-ford.htmlWe've all been told reservations/orders will be accepted through March 19, at which time they will be converted to orders to be scheduled for production. Production will begin 5/3/21.

Here is a document I didn't see before today, updated 2/8/21 showing the lead time:
https://www.donlen.com/production-trucks-ford.html
Reading @5280Bronco it looks consistent.

Also, "Lead time does not factor in upfitting. Please add an additional three to five weeks on vehicles destined for the Western States, Alaska, Hawaii. Please add 6-8 weeks of additional transport transport time for units heading to Canada."

Just two observations:
1. In the second document dated 2/8/21, the column titled "Estimated Lead Time in Weeks*" has an asterisk and I do not see the linking asterisk to help define the statement.
2. I assumed the timetables relate to when organizations could have access to fleet vehicles and this does not relate to the consumers with reservations.

I'm sure the 24 week lead time is to fill all initial dealer allocations.

It's 5:00 Friday and I'm already wishful drinking from the Bronco glass!

Just be patient folks.

Did a quick google search for key word Ford Job #1 and got (the diesel stop) look at the 2nd comment. Also this pdf from bblfleet. Look at the header Job#1 / Start up date.

Will let you all interrupt the info.
