Seat options on Badlands

So just got back from the Texas off-rodeo and drove a 2 door badlands and a 4 door badlands. The 4 door had the electric seat adjustments and the 2 door was manual. I guess I didn't look close enough on the 2 door with the manual seats but I didn't figure out if they could be lowered. I am 6 feet tall and I was too tall for that cab. With the top off, my head was about an inch from the top of the roll bar. I had to slouch to stay low enough to be comfortable.

My order is a 4 door Badlands with marine vinyl and a MIC top. I'm worried now about the seat adjustments and thinking I need to spend the extra $2000 on the seat upgrades. I'll loose the wash out floors which is a bummer.

Does anyone have specs on the differences in how low the seats sit between the two? Did I miss an adjustment lever that lowers the seat bottom? I'm hoping that I just missed the adjustment lever and that I must have hopped in the passenger side after a kid had it jacked all the way up. If there is no up/down adjustment that is going to be a deal breaker on the standard option seats for me.

Thanks,

Ktechll

Hello, my wife and I have a 4dr Badlands and the front seats do have a height adjustment on the side along with the seat back adjustment just a bit farther back and up. They also have the front to back adjustment under the front. I hope this helps.

There is a Video from T&C about the Black diamond and he shows this adjustment. it is a fairly new video.

MGV interiors only come with the manual adjustments. They're meant to be a bit more water resistant, so they're devoid of motors. That could be part of the issue.
You might have better luck getting this question answered in the Badlands section of the forum. Black Diamonds don't come with the motorized seats, and therefore don't have the seat height adjustment.

edit: I'm happy to be wrong as explained below. Apologies for the false information.

Awesome. Thanks for posting that video with time stamp. Now I want to get back in one to test the height differences. The 10 way leather seats worked out great, so I'm hoping that the manual ones get low enough too.

I'm not sure which thread they were posted in but even guys at 6'7" had plenty of height in the 4dr Badlands. Probably from all of those tests rides at King of the Hammers. I'm pushing 6'4" and had no issues in my dealers demo with manual seats. Plenty of room to spare and I can see why the guys even taller that me didn't have any issues. I can't imagine a little guy at 6' would have even the slightest problem. It isn't a Jeep after all!

 Yeah, I don't think a person at 6'7" would have an easy time finding a comfortable ride and maybe that guy who posted was all leg and no torso height. For them it's a question of how far back does this seat slide. For me it's a question of how far does this seat sink down. The T&C video that was posted, the guy was 6'3" and he said he had plenty of head room, but the video sure didn't look like he did.

Here's an actual picture of me and my brother from the off-rodeo in a velocity blue 2 door with manual seats.

I'm overjoyed at the revelation that the MGV manual seats have a manual height adjustment. There's no mention of it in the owner's manual. That should probably be updated.
