So with the B&P changes I ran through my build again and yes my build went up in cost by $1595 because of the 10 spd transmission. Anyhow, my question is are the rock rails included on both the 2dr and 4dr models? I assume it is a B&P glitch but who knows. These things add up and can make a difference in the best build to go with.

Glad you posted this question. Why did B&P let me add Rock Rails at $595 if they are already included? Think we got snookered again.

We've confirmed with Ford that rock rails are standard on both 2- and 4-Door Badlands and Black Diamond.

That’s good news! I was on a call with Ford rep earlier today, and they communicated that rock rails are only standard on the 2 door. Didn’t make any sense. Thanks for confirming!

keep in mind those rock rails are not true "sliders". they are bolted to the sheet metal (or very close too) they do NOT mount to the frame.

Thanks for your comment. I wanted the rock rails to protect the frame if caught up on a rock, or to use as point for a high lift jack. In looking over at a jeep forum, it sounds like these are comparable to a rubicon, and not a true slider. As the rock rails are bolted on the sheet metal, should I avoid using a high lift jack?

As a side note, I was at the dealer yesterday, and they did confirm rock rails are included on the BD and BL models.

Depends on your driving style. 99% of those that think they will wheel the new bronco those will be fine. Aftermarket should take up the slack there. Gentle driving goes a long way versus "beating" the truck to get up and over things.

Can we get confirmation if the Rock Rails are standard on the 2 dr. and 4 dr. First Edition. Thank you in advance.

I know that Ford has stated that the Rock Rails are included, and the info button on the B&P Rock Rails option confirms this as well. That said, why is it still an Add-On option to add them to a Badlands build if they're standard? Without checking the box, it doesn't show up on the final build sheet, but if you check the box it adds to the cost for a "standard" item. Ford needs to fix this with the website gurus behind the scenes.

Thank you for reaching out and clarifying. Follow up question please, can the tube steps be added to the rock rails?

So I just looked on Ford.com under the Bronco their is a compare model button. Gives you this Compare PDF. Only model that shows a step tube is the Outer Banks. But if you look at the Order Guide Thread it shows the tube step optional on the Big Bend (Mid Package), Outer Banks (Standard), and Wildtak (Optional).

Yes, but can you have tube steps AND rock rails? If not, I'll have to either cut and weld/bolt on custom tube steps (not desirable for me) or go aftermarket for a2 in 1 rock rails + to tube steps (expensive, and now have stock rock rails to store or try selling)

What videos I have seen and the comments about rock rails mounting to the body I doubt you can have both. I bet both use the same mounting strategy.

I just tried the build and price and could add both features. Still unsure as the sight could be glitched as Badlands comes stock with rock rails but the option can still be added.

Edit: Sight is glitched with allowing both to be added. When you click the i you get the info below and I underlined the part.

Good digging. Looks like I'm going to have to find someone interested in buying oem rock sliders from me (getting 2 door Badlands which comes with them standard) so I can find a set that also has tube steps welded on to them

I'm not sure why they still have that link point to the pdf, but you can use the compare tool with this link: https://www.ford.com/suvs/bronco/2021/compare-models/
It wasn't working properly for several months back in the summer/fall, but it's been working correctly for a while now.

I'd be willing to take them off your hands, but I'm on the wrong side of the country....
