This week, my wife and I hopped in Elwood for a trip to Southwestern Oregon to visit some family (about 850 miles round trip). While the coastline isn't exactly the beautiful beaches you find in Hawaii, it is beautiful in its own way. additionally, the Giant Redwoods are a sight to behold - if you've never walked through them, you're missing out - absolute solitude and fresh air. Overall mileage (4 door badsquatch 2.7) was about 17.2mpg according to my Fuelly app, running 87 octane. On the way up North, we got a nice view of Mt Shasta, while we were there, we did a a boat ride up the Rogue River (and got some decent shots there, including some shots of a bald eagle) and of course I got a few shots from the trip.

Love the pics…. Fond of the 🦅 . Being captured in flight is so mesmerizing and gives me chill bumps when i see them. Guess i am a sucker for American Beauty!

This is always a great area to explore. Love the Redwoods, the coast and Shasta. Nice to see Lake Shasta actually full earlier this year.

You know you're going to like a @Calgecko post before you even open it. Sold, I have to see this for myself one day. It looks otherworldly and I already feel like I can smell that forest floor through your lens. Beautiful pics, once again, and I'm glad you two got to take the trip.

thanks for all the comments. as some of you know, I've been under the weather for 2.5 months after breathing in some insulation working on my house.. finally feeling like things are on the upswing (I feel like I'm at about 80% of myself now), taking this week off was a nice break from the chaos of work. I'm looking forward to the Bronco Super Cel event in Carson city next weekend (I'll be there Fri/Sat)
