Rear Quarter Panel Window Insert - Ventilation

My parents had a Chrysler Van that the back of the side rear window opened to allow air flow from the front to back. Is this what you are talking about. Id so I haven't seen one for the Bronco, but there is a vendor that makes one for the Jeep. It wasn't cheap, but a good idea. I will see if I can find the link.

I was thinking just something that I could pop in at night for ventilation and had a screen to prevent bugs from getting into the vehicle. I looked at bug screens for the other windows but since there is not a frame around the windows most won’t work. I looked at magnetic to attach to the outside of the side windows but the roof and sides do not seem to be metal so magnets will not work.

Does anyone know if there is an insert made for the rear quarter panel window that would allow air into the vehicle and keep bugs out. I am traveling into an area that will has lots of bugs and I will be using the back area of the Bronco to sleep with the set up that I have.

He hasn't been around for quite awhile but he still may own his business yet so you might be able to contact him there and ask some questions. He might have had them mad special for the Bronco. I have no idea. I did some searches and couldn't find any reference as to where he got them.

He hasn't been around for quite awhile but he still may own his business yet so you might be able to contact him there and ask some questions. He might have had them mad special for the Bronco. Those are actually kind of intriguing. I assume it's just sitting on the top of the window & can be easily taken out.
The other Idea I had was for a soft top you could probably find a spare window panel & just cut the plastic window out & replace it with a mesh screen.

Yes, I think that would work pretty well. Kinda surprised no one as done that yet.

Don't know if this will help for the rear quarter window but maybe it will give you other ideas. There are large rollup screen doors, they can be magnetic, use 2 way tape or zippered that I use for outdoor cooking to make it easier to keep bugs out of patio area while doors are propped open. I noticed a full size van using them on the beach so they could leave the doors open to the breezes.

I made the bronco6g version and used them on a trip last weekend. Combined with a fan it works great as long as it isn’t too hot

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, there is nothing going to help much if its too hot. Great idea with the fan to keep air moving.

What about making some that would replace a roof panel? The mid panel in a 4-door seems like a good place to swap in a screen.

I haven't seen Sully since selling his Bronco either. I wonder if @'ing them would give them email alerts. Broncos are infectious so maybe we'll see them again down the road.
