I have read in the past that the cargo area deluxe rasied lid caused problems with the soft top even caused damage to it. Can anyone with the rasied lid with a soft top let me know if there is an problems with this item before I decide to buy one. Thanks BN

The Ford enclosure has a couple issues from my research. One is the lid really doesn’t raise all that much. Two is that it becomes kind of a permanent box in the truck and you have to remove the entire thing if you want to field the rear seats down and take advantage of the full interior. I came across the Diabolical Slipstream and ordered it almost immediately. It’s a few hundred bucks more than ford’s, but it’s modular, allows use of the rear seat area, doesn’t shrink the width of the cargo area, and won’t interfere with the tailgate table. I’m waiting for delivery, but looking forward to installing it!

I'm looking at this one as well. How has it worked out for you?

Great so far! I’m still locating a couple squeaks, but not sure if it’s the enclosure or the soft top frame. However, the enclosure modularity is super helpful when carrying things taller or deeper than the cargo area.

I used my points to get the raised lid version from Ford. Very happy with it. I’d get the soft top lift assist from IAG because the prop rod interferes with raise/lower of the lid.

I have had my enclosure since last October. Never had issue with it. I use it often as my Bronco is a sudo-truck for me. No idea how it could damage the soft top. Doesn’t touch it anywhere. There is a ledge on both sides. The Diabolical does have some features I like, but its over double the price. I cant justify the cost.

I agree 100%. Don’t even use my prop bar anymore. I pop the top free and it lifts more than enough to raise the lid.

I have the Ford raised lid cargo enclosure for 10 months now and have had zero problems with it interfering with the soft top.
