Questions on auxiliary switch wiring

So I’ve done quite a bit of reading and watch a few videos, so I think I understand how it all works, but I have a few small questions. 1 ) there are six auxiliary switches. in five nonpowered circuits so according to what I can see from the diagrams, I could wire from two auxiliary switches to the wires, going to the glove box, and then one of those wires could be connected to the wire going to the back to give it power, and one could be connected to the passenger side right hand visor. A third auxiliary switch could be connected to the purple gray wire, which goes to the grill. so unless I am wrong, I’m calculating that three other auxiliary switches the wires would be directly connected to the device you were installing for example, like your ditch lights is that correct?. so if I were to want to run additional power to the back of the car, then I would have to run my own wiring? 2 ) I saw an install of six lights to the modular front bumper. The lights had daytime running lamps and separate fog lamps daytime running lamps were wired to one switch. Fog lights were connected to another auxiliary switch, so there were six wires for running lamps six different colored wires for the fog, lamps and six ground wires, my question would be how do I connect six wires together and then connect that to one auxiliary switch wire . 3) I bought a wire crimping kit and some wire connection pieces pictures attached to this post. I see a lot of people when they’re connecting the wires using a heat sink wouldn’t it make more sense to take all six auxiliary wires and put a male plug on them then take the two going to the glove box and putting a female on them and take the one running to the front grill and put a female on that, and then taking the two wires in the glove box and putting male ends on two wires coming into the glove box, and a female, and on the wire going to the back and a female and on the wire going to the passenger side visor. That way in the future if items are added or replaced or I want to switch what items are on what auxiliary switch it would be quick and easy when that makes sense? OK

  1. Correct. The unconnected wires are just "starter" wires. Depending on what you need wired you may have to run your own wires.
  2. All of the positives (power) would connect together—crimping, soldering, splicing, whatever. And then of course all of the grounds would all need to be grounded. Make sure you have a strong understanding of your power draw. If you draw too much power you may blow a fuse or melt wires.
  3. You could do that, but the auxiliary wires should have the female end. Female = power source. Male = power sink.

First, I want to say thank you very much for the input. It’s much appreciated for item number two I guess I was looking for a suggestion on how to splice that many wires together a video an article, etc. on item number three I watched a video by kc lighting and they said the same thing. so my only question remaining question would be on the two wires, leaving the engine compartment going to the glove box. They would obviously have to have mail ends on them but then, once in the glove box, do they need a male or female on the other end. Do I need to alternate male female on different ends of of a wire or could I have double female on the two glove box wires and then a male on the wire going to trunk and passenger side visor. I’m also aware of too make sure that whatever I do to have items on the proper amperage circuit but thank you for that reminder as well. Much appreciated for any help you can give.
