Possible Soft top Issues

Has any one who has taken delivery or driven a 4 door with a soft top noticed if air and/or water come in the sides above the doors? I looked at one today and the top seemed loose and I could stick my hand into the area above the doors easily. Seemed like there should have been something in this area to latch and seal it possibly. There is a rubber seal on the top and on the body that look like the lock together but don't. The top is tight in the first 6in or so then gets slightly loose until close to the rear windows. Does any one have any picture of theirs from this area of the top?

Was it latched down? When you watch the soft top takedown video you should notice a latch on the drivers side above the doors that needs to be disengaged so you can go full cabriolet mode (top all the way back and scrunched).
It could be the Bronco you were looking at had the top all the way down and then they folded the top back up without locking the center latch.
Hopefully somebody can come along with personal experience on this.
I would be very surprised if the tops were not watertight and there were issues with the soft top(but anything is possible)

I'm with you there, from all the videos/pics they seem very tight or tight as they should be. My guess is it wasn't fully latched down if exactly the above description

I just received my OBX yesterday with soft top. While it hasn't rained yet, the soft top seems secure with no gaps.

I went back today and took a couple of pictures. The top is fully latched but it still seems loose.

Yeah that doesn’t look good. Mine doesn’t look like that at all.

Something is definitely not right with that top, maybe just an installation issue?

Is there a groove it is out of? Like the seals on you door. probably a simple fix. can you get a picture of the unlatched and open just enough to show what is under that area?

I’ve driven a 4 door during rain the past 3 days and no water or wind noise from that area at all.

I just put my top up and I suspect the middle section wasn’t snapped or locked into place. I had to really push down on mine to get it to latch before I closed the final front section.
