Photo Contest?

Suggestions on theme and prize?

maybe see if some sponsors can pony up some prizes, and do several prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd?

It would be cool to have 3 different categories
1) Stock
2) Modified
3) Bronco Raptor

Traditional 2nd anniversary gifts are cotton or china themed so perhaps the contest can play off of that and coordinated appropriately.

I still can’t post photos. Not even from my phone lol. Keep getting “error during upload”. As a photographer, this hurts my soul.

Comment, write whatever it is you want to say. Then POST..

Then immediately go back to your comment and hit EDIT..

Then try to add pics that way, it's the only way I can add pics without error. Goodluck!!

Laura and the team are very aware of this issue... and they are working on it. She has reassured me of this. Hopefully next week it will be resolved.

So, I will leave it to the pros at BN to help rectify this issue for the both of us. I can barely find BN on the web, lol... im definitely not the guy to ask for technical issues... haha....

They will get it fixed for sure.

LOL... I just got my Bronco a week ago - I have SOO many photos I want to share with my fellow broncoholics, and I can't .. it's almost like an evil game ... I'm sure @Laura and the team will get it straightened out :)

I've tried to upload photos using both Safari and Chrome. Failed every time. What gives? Should make one helluva photo contest, eh? 😝

@BuckYeah also. With the new web site photo files size is limited to 2.5MB. I believe that is total not EACH. So when you post the photos you have to click the size button to select medium or large vice actual size.

That being said photos has been bugging me too. If you select the insert image option And put pictures (1 or multiple) and it posts in line with your message when other people see it they cannot click on it to go dull screen to see it. BUT if you select to add ATTATCHMENTS and then select photos (1 or multiple) again making sure to change the size from actual to medium or large. Then when you post it they show up as attachments however when another user clicks on it, it opens to full screen and you can arrow across multiple pictures without having to close one and open the next and zoom etc.

With the file limit being so small (which I get to save server space) every phone photo is larger than the allowed limit.

It’s a bunch of goops to jump through to share photos of your baby compared to the way it used to be. Whether it will be improved upon or this is the way it is from now on I don’t know but it’s a work around…

Maybe @Laura or @MattR can shed light on it. Maybe I’m all wet.

Here’s for photo contest lol. Also example of inline photo and attached…. Of course the inline one can be made larger via the photo edit tools Laura pointed out in a previous post. I left it at the 300 pixel default. But you can click on the attachment which is better.

Here is a nice Velocity Blue Bronco I spotted in Seattle. Testing...testing...testing...

Inline photo? No. Drag and drop photo? No. Link to photo? No. Add photo as attachment? No. Describe photo? Yes!

No matter how I try to post a photo, I get an error. Interest waning. Existential dread commencing...

Okay, partial "success." I opened the photo in Photoshop and exported it as a jpeg with medium compression. It reduced the file size to 1.4MB. Anything higher resulted in files over the 2.5MB threshold. Tedious, but it works. Why doesn't the site automatically downsample larger images? Not everyone has or wants a photo editing tool like Photoshop and most people can't be bothered manipulating images before posting. Very often, they just want to share their photos and move on.

Still, I guess it's better than nothing! :geek:

This is the pic Ford sent me.. added this from my photos on my phone… not sure why photos don’t post…
Maybe edit the photo size???
