Those of you that live in PA know it’s not legal to drive with your doors off. Well a bill has been introduced to change that.

Senate Bill 298

Want to hear an even more stupid law?? Here in Delaware you don’t have to wear an m/c helmet. But you have to have one on the bike for both operator and if you have a passenger.

Same here.
I’ve gotta agree with ya.
I did click on the link and the memo specified Jeeps & Broncos.
I think it’s probably best if it’s
Any vehicle manufacturer with a removable door design.
Hummers some of the Suzuki samaris etc…
It makes absolutely no sense when we can still run around on motorcycles, scooters etc .
I’m sure like everyone else they’re putting bike lanes in on the public streets just like here.
Common sense would tell ya , it’s just overreach to have an excuse for revenue thru ticketing.

I’m all for the no doors if in the vehicles design.

As someone who has lived in PA all my life and owned 3 wranglers, I can tell you this is a law that was never enforced. the only time you might get pulled over is if you had no mirrors on. Hell when they do the Carlisle PA Jeep and 4x4 weekend there are litterly thousands of jeeps with no doors on running all over central PA

If you're writing your Pennsylvania state legislator about this, you can point out that UPS and other delivery driers drive very often with their sliding doors open.

And it's legal to drive/ride on a motorcycle without a helmet here in Pa. I don't believe the State Police enforce this, but some municipalities do.

When I was on the job, did not care about helmet law, but I was a prick about eye protection. One can cause an accident, the other can't...

This was the interim step before they passed helmet laws in MI, many, many moons ago. So get ready for your helmet law to kick in. As of today the motorcycle law is gone, but you still have to wear one on an ATV.
