Background:
Here is another twist.. In March 2022 say 14,000 Broncos produced but 7000 sold.
Well I track it over the NSRR from Detroit or MAP TO PORT NEWARK, NJ.
3/16/21 order: 10/8/21 update red; blend 3/2/22; built 3/5/22; final assembly 3/25/22 nice pic sent. Great email my Bronco was shipped! Wow!
But hold on, the email really said in transit to my dealer. Verified Ford MAP drove to NS ramp RT41 on or about 3/25/22. Next verified at ramp 4C RoRo at 3/29/22 9:08 am EST someone drove the Bronco off rail car carrier and park it in one of two lots leased to NS railhead know as 861 Doremus Ave. Terminal in Port Newark, NJ(I78).
What my dealer said:
Dealer calls up last week and reads same emsil estimate delivery 4/2-4/8/22. No suv!
After 25 calls to FORD and three open cases NADA! They all st Ford read the same computer entries. Of course the 4/8/22 was an estimate, but it has been sitting for over two weeks in NJ. 86 miles from dealer, but in heavy NYC traffic and maybe no car carrier truck driver, can make a buck with $5 per gallon diesel fuel. Did I mentions the nrw NYC tools. Inflation is defined as a lot of hit air into a balloon, until it braks. Bang! Our last oil delivery was $700.00. Thank you Arabs!
So what does" pending update" mean. Well FORD contracts with FAPS an auto processor for both ocean and domestic car makers. 700,000 sq ft warehouse and garage space across the highway from NS 8000 parking lot auto railhead . On other side of Newark waterway the cargo container are handled. Toyota has own boats and terminal.
What "pending update" couod mean:
1. FMC inventory control lost track of it?
2. Since base maybe FAPS was told to remove some chips for high end one?
3. Maybe the dealer told them to hold it, since he is broke no credit left used cars?
4. Maybe truckers want more money to take to Hamptons cant make a buck?
5. Maybe Ford is passing on higher delivery costs to dealer for in transit charges?
6. Maybe it was stolen, and is in South America or Russia over ocean. Same port.
7. Maybe some one took tires and rims off. That is a NYC issue, but who wants base?
8. And finally, maybe FMC just had to dump another 7000 incomplete Bronco from March,2022 net unsold units, in addition of say 5000 in Ice Mountain and Wayne airport runways. Just no more parking space left in Michigan.

What is "pending update" term used by FORD?
FMC has no answers, but that is nothing new. So how did I protect " Big Red" from those bad actors. Well I arrange a 60 day pre autorized $25k credit union loan; started insurance ( interest) on 3/31/22 12:01am, just in case it got stolen, lost or was damaged in transit; called salesman who said 4/8/22 NADA! sent loan officer all documents and requested a copy of Certificate of Manufacture Origin to determine date FMC made Big Red! Accounting rule dont allow FMC to recognize revenue until shipped to dealer. " Pending Update" is pure BS and SEC will require allout ten of thousdands window stickers parked in lots now in Port Newark. Title to dealer does not pass until either on car carried bill of lading for Special good orders or at FOB point dealers lot.
So here were are poor Big Red is getting crapped on by sea gulls, salt water spray from ocean, NY HARBOR traffic and lastly sitting on another toxic land fill called PORT OF NRWARK. FAPS is non responsive to us. Anyone seen Jimmy HOFFER?
