Not to copy Jeep behavior, but....

As a Jeep person for many many years, one of the greatest subtle benefits of having a CJ/Wrangler was always 'the Jeep wave'. It was comforting and cool to know that a majority of the owners thought of themselves as part of something bigger and would manifest this with that two-fingers-raised-from-the-top-of-the-wheel wave.

It's not just the waving on the road, it's the behavior on the trail, the offers to assist, the feeling that you always have a buddy you just haven't met yet.

So, Bronco people....are we going to have our equivalent? I plan to at least give a wave or a headlights flash to my fellow Bronc's when I see them. I also plan to drag the best of the Jeep Wave mentality to our community. From the lists I have seen, it looks like a ton of us are, or have been, CJ/Wrangler owners and are probably very used to the little boost that you get from simply saying 'howdy' to another driver as you pass on the road. I have no doubt that this great community of people will wave, will stop and assist, and will make new Bronco owners feel welcome!

What's our 'wave'??

Not a bad idea, count me in!

The Jeep, Scout and Corvette community do it. I feel the Bronco community is just as close knit so makes sense. :)

I know I will wave when I see other Broncos on trail or on the road. I really hope the Bronco community turns out like the off road Jeep community. I have never seen or met as nice of people as in the wrangler groups. You are right they will always lend a hand and make you feel welcomed which is a great thing.

And BTW, it’s not copying Jeep it’s copying the motorcycle wave which Jeep copied;) (and technically Ford made original wranglers in the war so from now on I will call it the Ford wave):ROFLMAO: lol

Those of us new to off-roading should thank those Jeep and previous generation Bronco owners for keeping the adventure alive.

@LagoCJ - as a fellow Jeeper and Harley owner, I think this is a great idea but I have to imagine that Bronco “guys” already have a special “wave” - the brand is 55 years old...

Perhaps some of the veteran Bronco enthusiasts can enlighten us...

Exactly my thought! If the OG Bronco folks can fill us in, let's hear it! If nothing else, the response to this thread tells me that this community is full of great folks and I look forward to Bronco round ups to come!

I love the Hawaii salute, but that’s its own vibe. I think the standard jeep two finger raise off the steering wheel is what most will resort to. However, as a metal head, I think we could easily adopt the horns! Still a two-finger salute, easy to do, just use the pointer and pinky fingers instead!

For some reason no matter which car I’m driving, people are always honking and waving at me. One finger salute.....maybe it’s just me?

I had a guy in a Benz give me the finger once, I was shocked he took it out of his nose to do it.

Yup, as a long-time Harley enthusiast, the acknowledgement was an arm extended down low, wave kinda thing... always laughed when dirt bikes or other bikes tried to get it on the fun. lol

I think I'm going to have a hard enough time drinking my open cup of coffee, shifting gears, and fiddling with my 12" screen! This is getting too complicated. If I own a Bike and a Bronco and I'm driving my Bronco while passing a Biker - Do I show a Biker sign, a Bronco sign or do nothing! o_O
