Hey, has anyone deleted the Sasquatch package off of their Badlands order? I did; as per the advice of an E-mail received from Ford today, and was informed that front and rear locking differentials and 4.7 gears are no longer standard Badlands equipment. I was also informed that the only way to get those items is BY ORDERING THE SASQUATCH PACKAGE. Have any of you been told/heard the same thing?
This is what I am being told by my Ford dealer. And yet the 'Build your Ford' website still lists the Badlands as having these standard features. Ford Customer Service seems pretty confused on this issue as well. What say you all about this? I know it's only been 503 days since my original order went in, so maybe I'm expecting too much looking for an answer from Ford this early in my order cycle.

Yes, and I just now got off the phone with the salesperson. She confirmed the change in standard equipment, and it looks like this change occurred on 12-1-2022.
I am confused as well, and angry and frustrated. Why buy a Badlands if there are no lockers or 4.7 gear?

To get F&R lockers and 4.70 gears, you would need to order the 2.3, and 7sp Manual in a Badlands NON SASQUATCH....
AUTOMATIC Badlands NON SASQUATCH receives F&R LOCKERS with 4.46 gears.

(SWAY BAR DISCONNECT is still standard on Badlands Models)
Beadlock capable wheels and 35" tires are not available on NON SASQUATCH MODELS, NON SASQUATCH Badlands get like a 33" BFG ko2, on a machine faced standard wheel.

FORD is asking people to delete SASQUATCH PACKAGES from their order, or risk not getting a 2023. And losing all incentives that are on the table.. PER THE EMAIL YOU RECEIVED FROM FORD TODAY.

If anyone finds this information to be incorrect, please let me know asap!!

Per usual, Ford is clear as mud. I would not take B & P as gospel, seems to lag behind real time changes in features...

Ford Customer Service said they would 'get back to me' on the subject. My question to them was, 'Can you confirm that non-Sasquatch Badlands models are being built with front and rear locking differentials as standard equipment?' A yes or no question. The 57 page order book that the dealer uses now shows no lockers except on Sasquatch equipped units. I would sure like to hear some Ford sales people weigh in on this issue.

Any changes to any Ford vehicle will be result in a change to the order guide first. For example, when they removed the subwoofer on 2023MY models to deal with components constraints, they first released an updated order guide that added a 6 Speaker Subwoofer delete option—option code 58E.

The salesperson you were talking to said that the front/rear locking axles were removed on December 1st, 2022. If you look at page 49 of the December 1st, 2022 order guide, it lists the axle availability chart. On that chart, Badlands has locking front/rear axles standard.

  • Automatic Transmission
    • Front Locking Axle - Standard
    • Rear Locking Axle - Standard
    • 4.46 Axle Ratio - Standard
    • 4.70 Axle Ratio - Available with package 765 (Sasquatch package)
  • Manual Transmission
    • Front Locking Axle - Standard
    • Rear Locking Axle - Standard
    • 4.70 Axle Ratio - Standard

Keep in mind this is here in the United States. The Bronco is also sold in Canada, Mexico, and many countries in the Middle East. Those countries have different order guides and may have different available options. But here in the United States, as of the December 1st, 2022 order guide, the Badlands has locking axles as standard equipment.

So I am 99.9999% sure that salesperson you were talking to was incorrect. The only way they could be right is if there was a typo in the order guide. But the December 1st guide is the latest, and we haven’t seen a new one since then.

If this were true the other forum would have 200 threads going and be on fire as of yet crickets. Funny you only have 3 posts in 2 years and all on this thread you started. The above post by RagnarKon answers the question.

Thank you for the information, guys. The dealer had me in panic mode. What is weird with the Ford order guide is that the 4.7 gear is denoted as standard equipment on my manual trans Badlands with an 'S' in the column box. The lockers are denoted as standard equipment with a check mark in their column boxes.

Yeah the manual transmission has different gearing than the automatic transmission on ALL of the trims except Black Diamond. That's the only trim where the automatic has the same gearing as manual (4.46).

  • Base / Big Bend
    • Auto - 3.73
    • Man - 4.46
  • Badlands
    • Auto - 4.46
    • Man - 4.70
  • Black Diamond
    • Auto - 4.46
    • Man - 4.46

EDIT-- Obviously many of the trims allow you to upgrade to different axle ratios, and if you buy the Sasquatch package it goes to 4.70 regardless of the trim. But the list above is the "standard" option.
