When going to the Ford 2022 build page, the Base model is unavailable as a selection. Is this a website glitch or is it telling us that Ford is no longer taking these for the current model year?5E5719C2-B4F0-4692-9843-3F5BED1CC113.jpeg

"Oh my gosh" you are so right, I'm getting worried now mine is next "Big Bend" well I guess we'll see tomorrow or the next few days. Don't think Ford will ever come out and tell us what's going on, we always have to figure it out ourselves.. :(

Could just be a glitch, there is also a glitch when you try to add the high or lux package to the badlands or wildtrack trim levels, it changes your build to an outer banks model.

I'm sure it has to be a website glitch... If Ford was going to drop a trim level they would remove it completely from the site.

I’m sure it’s a glitch. (Surprisingly because base is the best)The base doesn’t even have a high take rate so I’m not sure why they’d eliminate it.

Well now looking like a second day glitch, if it's anything like our company it should be fixed sometime in 2024..

I actually ordered my Base squatch after Thanksgiving and have a 2/14 build date. I happen to think that’s the most bang for the buck, and quite a bit less money than the Jeep Rubicon I would have bought.I could care less for all the luxury upgrades.

Ford is selling a lot more of the higher levels for a better profit margin. Why tie up the line with a cheaper build when they can be selling Outer Banks and Everglades and such? At least that would be my thinking if I was a Ford exec.

I hope that’s not the case, because the Base models deliver a tremendous relative value to Jeep.

Probably isn't a glitch. BMW has done the same thing. Was trying to build an X3 and certain packages and options weren't showing on the build page. The items not showing are currently unavailable due to chip shortages and parts constraints due to "bare shelves Biden's" supply chain fiasco. My guess is that people were getting scared off of the higher trims and upper option packages due to delays so there was probably a rush of orders for the base trim. People probably figured they could get a base trim Bronco much quicker.

Just saw a story on Motortrend about this. Base Bronco no longer available. Two possible rumors....dealers were complaining about not enough profit in the base model and another rumor that the base model is being replaced with a "heritage" model.

Id say there is little comparison in the "base" and "Heritage" so replacing one with the other makes zero sense. Now, if the MOD was available since the heritage is supposedly coming with the white MOD then maybe could see that replacing a higher level trim or even placing where the FE was

What would a Heritage model have on it. Bare bones like the 1st Broncos back in the 60s?

Wow. If they can the Base it eliminates a true entry level 4x4. I didn't see this coming...
This should maximize their profits from a percentage standpoint per unit though.

I would have to say the "Glitch" is starting to look more like a "Ditch" it's looking more and more like it is "Outta here"... :(

That story has as much actual substance as this thread.
Possibly less, amazingly.
No actual quotes from Ford or a Ford dealer.
Want to know for sure? Ask your sales person to see if it's blocked out in WBDO.
And the speculation that Heritage is replacing it is absolutely preposterous.

I'm glad I got my order in last week. Even if it's not "gone" having a glitch like that would worry me if I hadn't ordered yet.

Day 3 "still a glitch" I don't know, for some of us this is a "bitch" looks like the Base has reached it's End, no need to worry you could always move up to Big Bend. ;) (y)

Hey all, we confirmed with Ford yesterday that it is indeed just a tech issue. They've been working on it and should have it updated soon. Base will still be with us!

Hopefully those of you who have already ordered the base wont get hosed on this one. I did always think Ford had too many trim levels for the Bronco, but the base isn't the one I would have eliminated.
