I got a bronco sport big bend model. It doesnt have the tow package so I had a hitch installed. Can I still pull a trailer with it without doing damage to anything? I never towed anything before and I dont want to buy a trailer and realize I cant pull it like I could If I bought the tow package bronco sport.

Sure you can tow with a hitch installed but, you also need the confirm the following:
1- do you have the proper electrical connections (4 pin or 7 pin) for the trailer to the vehicle
2- is the trailer & its contents within the specified towing limits of the vehicle
3- is the hitch rated for the weight of the trailer & its contents.
4- safety check before any towing including: lights, tires, air pressure, hub/axels, brakes (if equipped), hitch connector & safety chain (and brake disconnect).

^ once you have all that confirmed, you are good to go!

Make sure you tighten the hitch down on the ball securely. The trailer is going to make some noise while you're pulling it. It's a little alarming your first few times but as long as you are secured to the hitch (and follow the 4 tips from Bschurr) then you'll be ok!

Also, it helps to have someone with you in case you have to back it up. It's hard to do when you're new so take it slow, communicate with your partner, and have fun towing your jet skis to the lake! lol

Thanks for the info. Yeah I have my brother in law with me to show me how to use the hitch and teach me how to back it up. I'm nervous but i need to learn. Thanks again!
