Ummmm........ Just received this email. Discuss......

What do the big wigs know?? I guess I'm asking because most of the stuff displayed on the "See What's Coming" website shows the enhancement to vertical screens?! Hmmmm

I have a Bronco and I drive a Mach E GT for my company car (I'm thick skinned so let the haters hate but the car is actually a blast to drive) I'm pretty stoked about any improvements to the interface, especially the Mach. The menus have far too many layers before you get to what you really want to adjust. I agree about what you're saying regarding the vertical screens. I was expecting to see more about my Bronco since that was the vehicle Ford messaged about, but when I jumped into the See What's Coming link, it was all about the other vehicles. My vehicle Bronco has the smaller screen so I'm not sure what will change with the small screen.

With the Mach, the HVAC temp control being integrated into the center knob is a HUGE plus. The temp controls are down so low on the screen and the suspension is so bouncy on the GT that it's hard to hit the temp button on the touch screen without accidentally tapping something else. Hopefully we'll see more about what's coming for Bronco.

Fairly confident this was an "oopsie" email.

Sync 4A is the "immersive" version of sync screen that's in the Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and will be in the new Mustang and Ranger. The Bronco has Sync 4, not Sync 4A. So... pretty sure someone clicked the wrong button.

You're probably right. They already added the ability to increase the interface size for CarPlay on SYNC 4. The new layout in the Escape is pretty rad. My mother in law bought a '23 last week, the new layout works so much better than my wife's old '20. The climate buttons are up higher in the dash versus the old setup with the knobs down really low so it doesn't take your eyes off the road as far as it used to. It seemed pretty intuitive. Makes me wonder what Ford will change with Bronco down the road when the model refresh happens at some point.

I received the email as well and while the proposed enhancements look cool and add some nice features, I highly suspect that Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and phone connectivity is going to be a casualty (as it typically has been post updates)

I got the email too, but also own a MachE GTPE so I figured that was why.

Yeah I got it too. But my only other Ford is an 04 F250 so I know it’s not for that. I figured they were just going to update the sinc4 to the sinc4a stuff. But y’all are right all this upgrades are for the vertical screen.
Maybe my screen will stretch over night when the update is done? 😂 I mean Hyundai will have wheels that change size so why not.

This is a source of lost revenue for Ford and I told them so in the survey they sent me. Would I pay a few bucks for upgraded and/or customized Stink 4 software for my Bronco?
(I can say "Stink" because we own an Escape with the original Stink software and yes, it stinks and is slow AF.)
Short answer?
YES OF COURSE!!
Should I have to per se?
No.
But only if they corrected some known issues.
But if I could chose options and make it more how I want to?
YES.
JMO.
And yes I got the email too.
