Hi all, got confirmation last week that after only ordering my 23 Black Diamond A51 Bronco a week ago, build begins on 8/7. Dealer is saying I should be driving by Sept, FINGERS CROSSED! Anyways, he also advised me that if "I don't want them to drill into the steel bumper, they would need me to provide a front licnese plate bracket".

Obviously I don't want any holes in the brand new steel bumper, but I am trying to figure out:

1. which bumper I will be getting (stock) with the BD bronco.
2. what options I have for a NO DRILL required bracket

What kind of options are you all rocking on yours? I apologize if this has already been covered but I can't find anything on my specific situation. Thanks in advance!

I'm getting the one from KR Off-Road, once mine gets built.

I really like the look of this one but it looks like it blocks the use of one of the hooks if needed, is that correct?

1. You will get the standard steel bumper, commonly referred to as the "capable bumper"
2. There are several brackets available out there, I personally have the BuiltRight bracket (which does block a recovery point). A user by the name @HBTFD also sells brackets that are very popular.

Also worth mentioning that the factory bracket drills into the plastic painted trim piece between the grille and the bumper itself... not the actual bumper. Unlikely to change your opinion, but figured it was worth mentioning.

I had a Badlands with the capable bumper and the plate slightly obscured the fog light.

We have a 23 BL with modular bumper. On the modular bumper, the plate is close to the tow hook but not covering it. BRI plate holder is on its way - should get it by week’s end.

Both solutions are better than stock IMO.

Mine: 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 angle bracket. Bent about 50 deg. (closed) using bench vise. Spray painted.
