My Soft Top Review after 3-Months

So, let me start by saying that because of Jeep soft tops - I did not want a soft top Bronco, but I could not find a Badlands non-sas anywhere with a hardtop near me, thus I got mine with the soft top. Having had jeeps for years with soft tops, I hated them, the noise, the constant flapping sound, the issues with staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter - soft tops were not for me.
That being said, I absolutely love my soft top, even better than the hard top Gladiator that I have. The top on the Bronco is actually better quality than the Bestop tops that I have put on every Jeep that I have ever owned. I did add the IAG Performance V2 EZ-Lift Soft Top Assist System for 2021+ Ford Bronco 4 Door Soft Top - and that was a game changer for letting my dogs get into the back (NOTE: It also helps pull up the top when you have it all the way back with the windows removed. It has handled some pretty extreme weather in the last 3 months here in Alabama, from Ice, to sleet to rain to 80-degree weather without a single issue. I live on a ranch, so mudslinging is an everyday occurrence - so soft top maintenance is a must - or the crusher on the driveway will cause fading. So I clean the top using the Chemical Guys Convertible Top Care kit every time I give it a bath - and it keeps it black and clean (I have used this for all of my Jeep tops also).
With all of that being said, I am absolutely happy with my soft top, but I will add some updates to this thread when I can to keep you informed on my experiences with the soft top.

1710794760000.pngWe are 73,000 miles into the soft top. We had a '21 MIC on order and switched it to a soft to get the vehicle sooner.
(We were bitter at first... until a couple of summers. Ford owes us. The MIC was a debacle.)
I think we had an updated top swapped in after an abysmal start.
Since then, we could not be more pleased. We pull it down for film work and just hauling gear in the summer. It has been in -25F to 110F film shoots in blizzards and heat waves. Never a problem since the service recall. It was garbage before.

The fact that the heater and heated seats are hotter than the sun makes winter a picnic. We don't really baby it. We probably should coddle it more, but we tend to wash it with gentle soap and it seems fine to date. Salt, brine and sodium chloride are our worst enemies in the mountains.

We are in line for a TurnOffroad Hard Top but that's another story.

Enjoy!

That is awesome to hear, I thought about the Advanced Fiberglass hard top - but I am not sure if it is worth the investment, I would rather spend that on other mods (LOL) - Thanks for the feedback though, that is a lot more miles than my measly 4500!

Yeah you're right about the spend. We have ended up using it for work excessively, it has proven to be a warrior and walks into horrible places with elegance and arrogance. The Hard Top investment supports security. I settled on TurnOffroad as they are delivering, and have focused on updating recognized MIC hard top deficciencies.

I will be one of those TopLift Pro devotees before too long as we do enjoy flopping down the top. Lol - I don't see the wrinkle anymore. If it bothers anybody, I say look away. haha

My old 21 bronco was a soft top. It was my first and near 20k, it looked brand new When I traded up almost 2 weeks ago. I liked the fact that it was easy just pulling it back one. Never had it fully down or removed.

Nice. What did you trade for the Badlands?

20k miles and over 2 years on my soft top badlands in alaska. Couldn't be happier and probably won't get the hard top as was my initial plan. It looks like new and I never baby it with special cleaners. It just goes thru the touchless car wash or gets hit with my pressure washer in the summer.
I love the ability to throw it back in 10 seconds. Anybody find a rack that still let's the top open up?
Btw, the easy lift kit is a must-have.

Sorry late getting back to this thread and that sounds great that you are dialed in up in Alaska.
Re: the Rack, the first one I looked at was the 22Winty, but not sure if he is still making them.
Looking at the Raket now.
100% endorsement of the IAG Easy Lift for both the Rear of the soft Top and the Hood.
