I know there is a giant yard at ford filled with broncos that need chips , but didnt they say the newer production ones are skipping a bunch of chips a week or two ago?

Anybody know if the newer factory to dealer process is going to be quicker? or am i going to be on bronco mountain for months?

That's an easy one. It takes 1 - 3 days to build and then somewhere between 30 - 180 days for delivery, give or take six months.

But I've heard if you're a Jeep lover hanging around Bronco forums... They send you directly to Exile Mountain and say it's missing a chip ;)

I feel I’ve been lucky with things moving fairly smooth with my order. The length between in production and built was waiting on a chip(s). That was what my dealer shares with me anyway. I still think 2-3 weeks for delivery since I’m out in AZ. The tracking sight updated to shipped last night. Hope this helps.

"Skip Chips" you mean the news that Ford will ship Broncos without certain chips, to be installed at a later date?
The new ones that are skip chips will probably be sent out and not to Bronco Mountain in theory but if that is what is actually going to happen Know one knows and Ford ain't telling. so as much of a joke our friend @AcesandEights was making there is probably just as much truth to it.

I would hope not, I think that would be a poor move on fords part. They have already had enough craziness with the release of this vehicle.

FMC can't even figure out the MIC top or 2.7 issues so sending Broncos out without chips would be a disaster in the making and will easily take them 12-24 months to resolve if sent incomplete and then when you have an issue with the installed chip is that FMC's fault or does FMC leave it to the dealer sine they installed that part??

Check the threads here, no clue the number but since the 2.7 has been around one would think there shouldn't be any but all the failed ones are under 5,000 miles

It just depends on if you have any extras being put on or if there are any parts holds. It could be anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. And if there is a hold it could be months before it is released to ship
