My Badlands went into production. When to time the sale of my Ford F150?

Today I see my Badlands has changed from Production 02/28/23 to Built 02/28/2023. Then it states: "Your 2023 Bronco Badlands® has been "Built" and is currently awaiting shipment". that it will take a few days to a week to prepare my vehicle for shipping to my dealer. Does this sound "normal" for what is taking place in 2023? I've read that last 2 years have been a cluster, but is Ford getting any better in 2023?
Newbie here. I started watching my order last year & in January 23 it went to from scheduled 2/28 to 03/04 to 2/24 all within 2 weeks. Today it says “IN PRODUCTION”. Any idea on how many more weeks before delivery? I am trying to time when to sell my Ford F150 and I’d like to do it within a few weeks of delivery of my bronco. After reading all the nightmares on the forums is the best guess sometime in 2023?

There are to many factors at this point to even try to guesstimate timing. Mine was built on 8/1/22, got a "built" email on 8/3/22, got the "shipped" email on 8/4/22, 6 days on rail lines to Omaha--another 2 days sitting on the rail car waiting to be unloaded, then 2 more weeks at the Omaha holding yard waiting for transport to dealer 15 miles away.

How long can you live without the F150? for me it took a month in Production (everglades) and about a month for shipping to Central Texas. do you have a signed PO from your dealership locking in your Price? if not you might want to wait till you get the Bronco (make sure the dealership isn't going to pull any shenanigans) then sell the F150. just my $0.02

It depends on how long you can live without your truck. I was able to time the market and sell my RAV4 early because my wife and I both work from home and can share a car, or borrow our daughter’s as a backup.

Your bronco could be 2 months away, or 6 months away, and we have no idea.

Welcome.

Don't sell till your bronco arrived, if your truck is your daily driver. You never know when your bronco will arrive. Some people have waited weeks and others have waited months.

Wait until the Bronco arrives. So many factors can impact the process.

My Bronco was built 12/10/22, shipped on 12/17/22, and I took delivery on 1/13/23… That is pretty fast from what I’ve seen, but be cautious, as many things play into the shipping bottleneck, AFTER the production bottleneck…

Also depends on where in the country yours is going…

It could fall off a train. It could fall off the car carrier at the dealer. The dealer could accidentally sell it to someone else, or surprise you with ADM. IIWY, I'd wait until you have the car registered in your name, and parked at home before I do anything.

If you can go with out a car sell anytime, if you need it, I'd wait until you get notification from the dealer that it has been delivered. Mine went into production beginning of August and I didn't get it until mid-November, that's with no holds. Good luck, that is exciting news.

Thanks! The dealer is good. Long time relationship and they gave me a full price sheet with order number and final price less my deposit. Last September they even moved my order up to be the first for the dealer for all 2023 orders. Small town nice people that’s a rarity these days.

My wife and I can deal with one car for a while, but it feels little bit of a handicap if it goes on for a long time. At least no winter worries. The F150 4x4 was needed on occasion for winter storms

Hey, mine went into production 1/16, was shipped 1/23 took delivery 1/27. I think the stars were aligned just perfectly.

I was scheduled for Production 11/12/2022. Actual Blend data was 12/12/2022. Delivered to Nashville 01/25/2023.

But like everyone else has said to you. It is a total crap-shoot. There are people on several forums that have gone almost 6 months from build date until final delivery.

And you're just scheduled for Production, not actually built yet. I wouldn't sell.

My build date was in Jan and that was pushed to 2/2. But, I actually just picked it up today - finally got it. And was very lucky - 4dr Badlands with hardtop, Sasquatch and LUX.

Mine was built week of 12/06/21 nothing on trackers. Email from dealer saying it had arrived was the next thing I heard. Every one up in here had a different experience. Your results will vary...
