Out of curiosity I wanted to see what kind of mileage I'd get if I drove really nicely. So after filling up with LOW grade gas, I set off on a test. I set the ACC for 76 mph, set the mode to eco, reset the trip and drove about 120 miles. I let the truck maintain it's speed on it's cruise control setting and watched the average.

20.5 mpg! I'm super impressed with this! 2door, hard top, sasquatch pkg.20220129_132808.jpg

Pretty much same here, current tank is 16.5 but it’s been lots of stop and go/city. I know the ratings are the same but highway mileage for me is closer to 19ish for me.

That is a very impressive gas mileage for the 2.7...... it would be very interesting to find out the difference between Eco and Normal. There would be your next test, under the same conditions. ;)

I have a solid 30 mile commute each way to work. Two thirds of that is on highway with a posted speed limit of 55. I usually cruise just under that.
My porky Black Diamond (4door) with a 2.3 consistently averages 22.5 mpg. I take my time getting up to speed and kind of drive like a grandpa, but the mpg's don't lie. Obviously ymmv.
OP is doing great considering he has SAS.
P.S. I never change modes. So whatever it is in, Sport or whatever is default,, that is what I drive in.

That's about what we get with our F150 when we go out of town (5.0 not the 2.7). Speed limit is 80 here on the Interstate. Hope to get close to what your getting in my Bronco (2dr 2.3 BD)

2.7 here. I tend to average 18 mpg combined and 19-20 mpg on the highway (going 65-70 mph). Several observations ( I have 7600 miles ).

1. No noticeable difference using eco mode vs normal mode.

2. Terrain and wind ( yes wind) have a HUUUUGE effect on the Bronco’s mileage.

3. Sport mode should be called, “Thirsty mode.”

4. A/C has effect on mileage ( no surprise). I think possibly using the heater might as well.

5. The 2.0 RPM threshold has a major impact on mileage. 1.9 RPM’s and lower gives you noticeably better mileage.

Good observations! This could be a key to any my milage is so high. My climate control fan is inoperable. I've been driving with system off and vents open in order to get heat into the cab
