I did a search, maybe I didn't do a good enough search, didn't see anywhere on here about these boys in their Bronco Raptor being legends. They're driving a mostly stock Bronco Raptor in literally the hardest off road race in the world.....The Dakar Rally.
For reference, this is a TWO week race that started back in the late 70's that used to go from Paris to the capital of Senegal, Dakar. It moved to South America in the more recent years and the last few its raced in Saudi Arabia. It's always been running the first two weeks of the year and was considered an adventure race in early years. In the 80's big money was poured into this race as manufactures started branding their vehicles and used it both for development as well as prestige. It's been mostly three categories with Bikes, Cars/trucks and big ass Sami trucks. In the 2000's several new categories from SSV/Side by sides and EV's to amateur classes like these boys in their B-Raptor entered into T1-3+ class.
Basically to finish this race/adventure is a massive undertaking. There's several sayings on this race as it's both a dream to race it and with the challenges comes many ups and downs..... "Dakar is Dakar".... and the best quote I've heard this year, "Living my dream is my nightmare right now" 😂
I have no connection to these boys other than a Bronco owner and fan but knowing what I know of this race over the years and how somewhat unknown it is to North America, this is a MASSIVE undertaking! By contrast, Ford pours a huge amounts of $$$$$$$ into their development, their current race Raptor T1+ class vehicle. Ford this year has a big field (4 pro drivers, most have won the Dakar previously with other teams) in hopes they can win it all this year (they had a podium in their first entry last year). By contrast, a relatively stock B-Rapotor doing what they're doing, with an amateur driver & navigator, its pretty damn nuts!

Good luck boys!!
