Hey everyone. My monitor and CarPlay started acting up recently. CarPlay would start disconnecting and screen would sometimes go black. Today the monitor quit working. The radio does not work, phone won’t connect, backup monitor does not come on. Has anyone experienced this issue? Any suggestions?

Man,I would make an appointment to get that looked at. I am curious if you have the automatic updates turned on. I had mine sitting for several weeks and it apparently disconnected from the WiFi and it was not getting certain updateds.

Sounds like a connector plug may not have been clicked together very well and finally let go. I'd have Ford dealer look into it .

Update, in case anyone else has this issue… The monitor, radio and everything related to Sync is periodically going blanks. I spent a lot of time with Ford Customer Service. They helped me reset the Sync modem and this did nothing. They said it seems that my Bronco isn’t updating the software as it should. Now I have it scheduled to drop off at the dealer. How many days will they have it this time?

After the dealer looks at it I’ll provide another update, again just in case anyone else has the same problem and does a search on here.

Mine had been doing this so I just set mine to automatically update at midnight on Sundays. Since I did this I haven’t noticed any issues. I wonder if I was driving it while it was trying to update and it was getting wonky.

I scheduled mine for 1:00 am everyday. Still no luck here.

Don’t know if it’s the same issue but I had to get my monitor replaced earlier this year. The screen started flickering, then I had a double image, then it went black. I thought it might be a loose plug but the dealer replaced the whole panel. 2022 OB luxe.

Hmmm… sounds a little different but who knows. Dropped mine off at the dealer today. It was working when I dropped it so I hope they can figure it out. My fear is they’ll just wiggle a few wires around and say they fixed it. 😕

Well, as I feared , the dealer told me they “checked it out” and couldn’t find anything wrong. I was reading on a FB, Arizona Broncos, site that several people are having the same issue and they all started around the same time (4-6 weeks ago). Maybe a software update issue?? Who knows?
Maybe @Ford Motor Company can look into??

I have a '22 Black Dimond. I've had my Bronco modem disconnected (i.e set to no connectivity) since nearly the day I bought it in mid- 2022.

So, I don't see how lack of SW update would cause the issue you are having. I hope it gets solved soon. Sounds like the infotainment module is going bad.
No salt tram towers were harmed in the making of this post...

Well, it’s at it again. Screen and radio went dark last night. First time since the service appt at the dealer. Made a video and will be keeping record. It started working after about 35 mins, which makes it really hard to take it to the dealer when it’s not working, as they requested.

Tried to attach the video but couldn’t figure that out?? Any tips are welcome.

Does holding the Power + Skip (Fast Forward) button reset & fix? Every now & then, my CarPlay won't play audio, and yesterday CarPlay disconnected after about 10 minutes of driving. I simply "reset' and no issues the rest of the ride.

How long do you hold down the Power+Skip? Carplay usually goes nuts when I get to drive the Bronco and my wife is with me, I think both phones are trying to connect. I think it likes her better, it connects to her phone when she is in the house and I am in the driveway starting up the Bronco.

How long do you hold down the Power+Skip? Carplay usually goes nuts when I get to drive the Bronco and my wife is with me, I think both phones are trying to connect. I think it likes her better, it connects to her phone when she is in the house and I am in the driveway starting up the Bronco.

5-10 seconds. Make sure your is set up as primary

I have 2 phones (work, personal) and even plugged into the USB, Carplay is dodgey whether or not it will work, which phone it tries to connect to even when previously connected to the same phone over and over, the radio says " No Media Found" (while it is playing the media thru the radio lol) this Stink 4 has more bugs than a roach motel.
Often, about 30-40% of the time, when I turn the truck off then get right back in, like going to the local store, etc, the radio completely forgets what music source it was playing, what song, etc and defaults to Sirius XM. UGH. Ford Motor Company PLEASE release an update to reprogram this dumb radio its more than annoying, you guys pimped this thing like crazy and crazy is exactly how it works!

I have a $200 aftermarket stereo in my old truck and it works better than the Stink 4. Moderators/Admins please get a response from FoMoCo. I want to hear what they are doing about this please.

As moderators we literally have no pull in this. Maybe the admins do. If and when I have this issue I will be in contact with my service guy and then shoot a PM to @Ford Motor Company. What has been your dealerships response been to your issues? Shoot @Ford Motor Company a PM with your VIN # and your dealership name and your contact person there. Good luck and please let us know what they say.
