Memory Seats in 2023 Bronco Outer Banks

Got my new bronco yesterday! Very excited to say the least. Amazing car lovely work love the interior. Fully loaded and I’m excited to get out there! That said, pretty much the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in the car…. It doesn’t have memory seats. Not sure why they can’t stick memory seat buttons somewhere on the visor dashboard, or at very least in the computer screens, where they could easily add an option. It might have something to do with water.

My question… Is there anyone who’s ever done an aftermarket on this? Not even sure it’s possible as it might require some computer programming, but I thought I would ask. I did some googling, and there are a lot of other people in the same boat as me, and never even knew.

Clearly, it’s not the end of the world or anything like that, it is really annoying now when your wife who’s 6 inches shorter than you has completely different settings for where the seat is. If the seats in the mirrors would go back to where they were even at least buy the key, it would be immensely easier takes a couple minutes to dial that stuff in every time. I know even the Wrangler is getting them next batch as well.

Thanks in advance!

One reason I didn’t go with leather seats was the lack of memory… pretty involved, and can’t imagine anyone doing it third party

Lol… push “1” and seats and mirrors adjust to you… very handy with multiple drivers

Oh... duh... I'm dumb.

I was completely over-thinking it and assumed it was like some special electronic cushioning memory foam thing that changed the cushioning level of the seats.

I despise electronic seats with a intense passion, so not my cup of tea at all. My wife and I are vastly different heights (4'11" vs 5'10"), and the electronic motors on her seats in her Escape are so incredibly slow it's maddening. Have to wait a good 30-40 seconds for the seat to get in the right position. And every time I get in the Escape and hit the wrong button it tries to crumple me against the steering wheel like a soda can. If they were just manual seats I would have them in the right position in less than 5 seconds.

BUT... ignoring my personal hatred... you'd think if it was available on the Escape (Ford's cheapest SUV) it would be available on the most luxury-oriented Bronco.

100%. It must have something to do with water and getting something conencted from seats to computer. That said, if we can put a man on the moon, we can get memory seats. It's ridiculous. I've never owned a car in the past 20 years without memory seat options.

I seriously was thinking that when I found this out. It would be easier to move the seat without. It's just dumb though. just add it in!!

Just in case someone from Ford reads this…

DO NOT make electronic memory seats standard on the Bronco or any of your other vehicles. The only thing worse than electronic seats is an infotainment system without any physical knobs/switches for basic inputs.

But to help out @DennisGaudenzi and everyone else that likes memory seats… you should make memory seats standard with the leather interior… or at least included standard with the Lux package.

Just don’t take away my manual seats… please and thank you 🙏

Memory is available on upper trims of escapes, at least since 2020

I pulled that little bar under the seat. Set it and forget it! I have the MGV with washout floors. Not an option For me nor wanted. Which trim package did you get?

Two door can't even get electric seats.... because they have to detach and roll forward to access the rear seats.... Not that I care.... My wife drives her car I drive mine. and I will be removing my rear seats mostly because I can not stand rear seat drivers....😁

in terms of being offered, I think it will be offered on the 24 Bronco Sport (but not positive)

Right - I think the 2023 sport got them. Why not the regular bronco, who knows!

Yeah, I have the LuX OBX too and was surprised by this. My wife's Fusion has them and they're great. I was told by the dealership it was because I had a 2 door and that it was too hard/not safe to wait for them to move to let a rear passenger out. Clearly you have 4 door so there goes that excuse.

I checked when ordering and was assured the leather seats did not have memory… not sure why… maybe something to go with controls normally on the drivers door are in the center console

Dealer notes: just say supply chain issues and part constraints. Lol.
