Well I was just sold on this tire. I have them on my Badlands, but what pushed me over the edge is as follows. I was watching an episode of Walker Texas Ranger. The episode first aired in 1994. Walker has K02's on his GMC pickup. If they are good enough for Walker then I know they are good enough for my Bronco. Case closed Washow! (sp?)

Walker made a good choice back then, and they are still a fantastic choice today. I've been rolling on K02s for over 4 years now. They are great off-road on the rocky stuff, great in snow, good in mud, and remarkably quiet on the highway for what they are.

I'm tempted to take the stocker 35s off my Badlands immediately and swap on K02s, but I know I'll lose my butt on that swap. So might just drive the stockers for a good chunk of their life, then sell and get K02s down the road.

From my experience, they are great in mud and snow and for off road. They aren't the greatest in rain or on dirt roads. When it rains the tires slip a lot more than when I had general grabbers on.

I wanted a set of white lettered KO2s and a little larger for the Badlands. I ended up going with a set of 295 x 70 white letters. I have never had an issue with these tires. I still have the original KO2 set in the garage. Maybe they'll find a new home soon!!!

I don’t know. They may be better off road than the Goodyears?,but I’ll be willing to bet not as nice on the road. There’re 10 pounds heavier at each corner and a reason why Ford chose the Goodyears. Also one of the reasons the Sasquatch drives so nice. Depends what your priorities are.

Ditto. I wanted white letter. I asked the dealer if they would work out a deal to swap. Deal was I buy WL from them and I sell the BW. I'll get WL when these wear out.

MIGeezer: the KO2s on Walker's pickup are there because of "Product Placement." The vehicles you see on TV and movies, the liquor they serve, even the restaurants they enter, are all part of the producers' income stream. Same with prizes on game shows. Goodrich paid for those tires to be used--and maybe paid extra for camera close-ups so you could actually read the lettering. White lettering, I presume? Same with GMC and the truck.

I ripped a sidewall on OEM Goodyears on New Hampshire rocks a few weeks ago. After exploring, in vain, the possibility of a make-do sidewall patch, I shared my misfortune with a church friend who's parts manager at (of all places!) a Hyundai dealership. He ordered 5 KO2s at employee pricing on a once-a-year sales-tax holiday. Got them at $320/each, no tax.
I now have one mounted as a spare while I wear down my OEM Goodyears--plenty of good rubber left at 25K miles. When they go, I'll mount the KO2s and begin a 5-tire rotation.

I was driving a school bus a few years ago, when a steering tire went flat. As luck would have it, Chuck Norris was driving by and saw my predicament. He unscrewed the cap, blew the tire back up to pressure with his lungs so I could finish my route. Great guy!

Losing that tire was no joke, but I think I made the best of a bad situation. I really love serious obstacles, and seriously remote areas (west Utah/Nevada, especially. Google "Snake Valley Utah/images"). All this involves risk. Risk is part of the adventure.
No joke!

BFG KO2 are the IPhone of tires, they are good and everyone has them. I have never owned them but i would give them a chance. I think I am going with the Wild Peaks to match my trailer, when the Goodyears give out.

I have used them for years. I had a few Blazers and they held up great. I’m running them now on the 23 Badlands. They are amazing and very smooth on the hiway. I’ve had no issues on the trails, though I don’t do mud very often. i have always gone with a better tire. Pay more upfront and no issues. You get what you pay for really applies here.

My Jeep came with the K02s. They’re a lot quieter and smoother than the Territory MT, though have read mixed reviews about snow. Even though the TMT’s weren’t three peak rated, they totally outperformed the Wildleak AT3W’s I had in snow. I may get a set of studded Duratracs this season and just call it a day.

The K02’s have done well in sand and rain up here, though I am in 4A when I’m not in 4H/L.

I've always had BFG on mine. My husband changed to Goodyear when he went to 40" tires in '07 (we have friends who know people that are sponsored by Good Year, couldn't beat the price). I'm leaning toward KO2 when I wear out my stock tires. Someone said they weigh 60 #s more than the stock 35s. That is not good. But, if it is only 10#s, then I will go with them.

Weren't K02s originally called BFG Trail Comp TA way back in the day?

I'm hoping they are comparable to the All-Terrains.

Maybe that's what I'm trying to remember. I know I had a set on my YJ that had near identical tread as the K02's. I have K02s on my H3T. Nice tires.

I had All-terrains on my YJ too. We estimate 60,000 miles on them. They were racing slicks before I replaced them and went with BFG Mud terrains. I was not as happy with them. I don't encounter mud much in NM. Thinking KO2 could be the way to go. They look to have more aggressive tread on the edge which would help with rocks. I do need to research before I have to replace the stock tires.

Whatever tire you get, stay away from Wranglers. They wear fast.

I have a set of KO2's on my Tacoma, and have really enjoyed every aspect of them. Quiet, great ride, traction exceeds my expectation in all situations except sticky mud but, they're not a "mud" tire so... that's expected.

They will definitely be one of the top 3 choices when putting larger tires on my '24 Badlands when it gets here.

I changed my new Badlands Goodyear set out with 1000 miles in the first 4 days I had them. I installed 5 new 37" BFG KO2 in their place and there is a difference for sure. The difference is my Badlands Squatch and my daughters identical 2021 which hers still has the original 35" goodyears has rock chips thrown up by the GY tires and I have 1 chip which was from the factory set. The BFG are also quieter than the factory set. I have ran BFG KO since the mid 90's.
The Goodyear factory set on my brand new rig were put thru the paces on wet muddy trails above timberline and never slipped once including on wet granite. But I do know I will stick with what I have and my daughter will go BFG once she wears the factory set out.
BFG does not sling rocks as far as I can tell, or at least not as bad as the factory set.
