Is anyone using the JBB flag mount that attaches to your trail sight? I know the rating on those sights suggest that it can handle the strain, but I'm not so sure that a 10' tall flag at 60 mph on a windy day might not be too much. Heading to the dunes in MI next weekend and need to make arrangements. Thanks!

I wouldn't trust that much force, and stress on that connection (any sheetmetal connection point for that matter), especially if it was done frequently. Doubtful this was a NASA, wind tunnel, designed detail....

I don't see many if any keeping it on 24/7 but rather only when required by the trail system or park you are at. So really highway speeds would be a rare thing

I wouldn't run the flag on the highway, but do think there are probably spots where we may reach those speeds while offroading, especially in the desert. I'll probably purchase or fabricate a plate to go on the bumper.

Your flag need only be 10ft from the ground. The mount is quite high, so don't need a full flag. And no, not on the highway.
