Hmm. I would like a V6 manual Bronco. But I wanted a I4 with Manual and I ended up with an Automatic, so they have to have the right offering for it. they will probably only offer it in a 4-door Lux, Squatched, Badlands with Leather and carpet. LOL

So they would still get it wrong.😆

I'd be driving a 6 if Ford was smart and did a V6/Manual Combo.

You can't compared a boosted 4 to a 6, especially considering the AM is there for the 2.7/3.0 vs the 2.3

What's interesting is the gladiator is losing the manual. Maybe this is a supply issue move?

Here's the thing: it's all about what people BUY not what they say they want or WOULD buy. Otherwise all Mustangs would be GT500s. I want manuals to survive and thrive but I have my muscle cars. For me my current daily driver was going to be an auto regardless of offerings since daily driving in our horrendous traffic and potholed roads takes the fun out if it. A large percentage of people can't even drive a standard vehicle and it's all about numbers, unless it's EVs then they keep pushing that trash no matter what reality is.

But Jeep offers it and people buy it. If Ford offered it they wouldn't?

I have a six speed in my Mustang. It takes a lot of concentration to drive it in traffic or at speed. Most folks can’t handle thinking and driving.

As a manual enthusiast... not sure I'm happy about what I read in that article. If you read between the lines... not looking good for us manual owners.

Screw the manual, that stuff was fun 30 years ago... In my advanced years, I prefer the simple life of an automatic, especially since I'm like @OrangecrushBronco, traffic SUCKS!!

Now if Ford wants to follow Jeep, and do one better by ACTUALLY getting something right, Ford should drop an AFFORDABLE NA V8 in a Bronco. I guarantee that would sell better than any V6 manual.

Also in the same boat as @OrangecrushBronco about having an auto for a daily driver since traffic in 60601 always sucks. If I ever get more garage space, a muscle car that’s a stick would be nice to have.

I'm sure they would as I'm sure people would buy Broncos with 5.0 powerplants. The problem is how many? I'm guessing their "market research" suggest the ends would not justify the means. I would also imagine that if Ford could gain back some of the market share they abandoned almost 30 years ago they could have a more diverse offering with the Bronco platform. Sadly Ford seems hellbent on making everything an EV or a Raptor. Honestly if it doesn't have a v8 the difference between a 4 and a 6 doesn't matter their both weak sauce.
Personally I'm more broken up about the GT500 having no stick and the GT becoming a European econo castrated supercar.

Love manuals. For 4x4 too. But buying that 3.6 Junkastar engine just to get a manual is crazy. The Bronco 2.3 is a better and more powerful engine. IF Jeep wants to compete they need to get rid of that antique engine which has a ton of known issues. They have what appears to be an awesome turbo I-6 engine, why won't they stick it in the Jeeps?

We should remember that well over 95% of vehicles in the US are automatics, not because they are forced on us but because that is what people wish to drive. We can mourn that, as well as the dropping of V-8’s in smaller body styles, but companies like Ford are in the business of offering and selling what the majority of people wish to drive…

With the 10 speed auto and GOAT modes AND independent front suspension, the Bronco offers (IMHO) the ultimate compromise between on-road and off-roadability. In all honesty, likely 90% of the miles I will put on my Bronco will be on pavement or trails rated at 1-4 or 5, and the auto and GOAT modes make passage and travel much easier than the single axle 70 Bronco with three on the tree I learned on in my youth…

It is great that Ford has offered as much accessorizing-ability as possible for those who want to build the ultimate off-road beast, the capable pavement princess, or the relatively stock “toy” that most of us enjoy…

In a perfect world we could each of us pick the permeations of vehicles we wanted with engines, transmissions, cabin styles, and technology doo dads to make each vehicle “our own” right from the factory. Unfortunately that’s not how factories (and manufacturers) operate…

In the same way that some fire department made a 6G Bronco pickup, complete with drop down tail gate, someone will pair a 2.7 or a 3.0 to a manual transmission and make a “one-off” beast. Perhaps the same with a V8….

If money is no object there are plenty of artists out there who can bring your vision to life.

Anyone remember the SVT? Ford had no issues producing 2000 or so specialty cars, so what the problem now?
Just because some people on a consumer forum don't know how to drive doesn't mean enthusiasts don't.
I want to hear from Ford not a bunch of anti manual / V-8 pe.

The 2.3L EcoBoost is a better engine than the Pentstar 3.6L. It makes 15 more horsepower and 30 pounds more torque (at lower RPM and with a flat curve). It's a joy to drive with the manual in the Bronco. Ford can't mate the Bronco manual to the 2.7L EcoBoost because the transmission has a cast-in bell housing that does not mate with the 2.7L's engine block. It's all based on economics from production costs, to crash testing costs, to logistics costs. The take rate for manual transmissions limits their integration into the product line regarding engine mating.
