Is the First Edition worth it?

As I've been waiting on my FE, I've been contemplating if sticking with the FE is worth it. I have a day one reservation, but still no build date. I'm starting to think that I should just have them flip it to a 2022 (different trim of course) or be done with the reservation all together (Bronco is back and not going away). Anyone receive their FE yet and think maybe a Badlands or Wildtrak would have been a better option? It's a tough balance between FE being a limited edition with everything, or being realistic and waiting for the first year gremlins to be vanquished.

Not to be rude, but this would be so stupid... If you no longer have the funds to purchase a FE then I get it. But there’s thousands of people who have no information just like you and could be waiting for years... Your car is guaranteed by the end of this year... you’d be a moron to change.

I contemplated selling my FE once I get the window sticker (no build date yet) and getting a BL, but then I remembered, I wouldn’t have an FE

so, yes I’m keeping my order as is, and watching and waiting. In the meantime I will be going to Off-Rodeo in two weeks so I’m excited about that.
Ordered: 4-Door First Edition - Rapid Red - Black Seats - MIC Top - Build Date: 10/25
In Garage: ‘62 Red Vette - ‘07 Black Shelby Ragtop - ‘21 F150 Platinum PowerBoost - Rapid Red

The FE will have significant value in 20 - 30 years, but for a daily driver I'd opt for a Badlands all day long.

The warthog/raptor would hold it's value more as the years go on. Probably be about the same money to buy it or close to it.

How long would you plan on keeping the FE??

I'd probably keep it for at least 3 years or more. It would be one of those situations as they improve the Bronco it might be better to trade up. The Warthog/Raptor was another thing I was thinking about too. If holding out longer could we swap our reservations to one, or would they make it a completely separate reservation.

lol I sold my Jeep two months ago. I had leased it back in 2017 in hopes that by the time the lease was up the Bronco would be out. Then I ended up buying out the lease since the Bronco was a year out from then. Finally, with the price of used cars I took advantage of the market. Basically got 6k less than what I paid for it in 2017.

I was wondering that too. My best guess is they will require a separate reservation for the Warthog/Raptor. By the time it comes out, Ford probably [:D] will be caught-up and selling Broncos on dealership lots. Which tells me one will need a reservation just for the Warthog/Raptor. Also it's going to be a very special edition, so I bet they only make a small number of them. Which again, tells me one will need a reservation just for it.

Since you are going to keep the FE for only three years, I bet you can sell it for close to the money you paid for it. Maybe lose 10k?? Maybe less? It is a FE.

I have an order for a F.E. (pending since March 2021), with formal reservation placed June 14, 2020. Still waiting for my Cyber Orange 2-door to arrive and having the same thoughts as others re: the long to wait. But given that my dealer has now called me several times asking whether I am tired of waiting, and they would gladly take the vehicle off my hands (if I no longer want it), that means this is one HOT TAMALE and I'm NOT giving up my order!!!

I have a basequatch and a FE ordered. My FE will be parked for my grandkids to enjoy/sell in fourty years. Basequatch to beat the shit out of. Totally worth it to get the FE in my eyes.
